I am totally convinced you will be nothing but completely successful. Your designs whether personally innovated, or inspired by/stolen from, something you read or saw are very well appointed. Please continue documenting this build and don't let your "youthful ignorance" stand in your way. One note.. I saw your part 2 first and noticed you didn't have a link on the screen to this previous video. Might help your views count.. Just a thought. Anyway, keep up the great work.
Bill, reading this really made me smile, Thank you so much for your encouraging words sir! I say youthful ignorance, because at 20 years old I want to preface my content with a "I only SEEM like I know what I'm doing" disclaimer ;) . Taking on a project like this I can only be humbled by the sea of things that I must learn , and by the cool people like you that want to come along for the ride. As per your recommendation, I have made a playlist for this series and will insert a link to it in the following videos and their descriptions. Cheers!
How exactly did you attach the cord to the pulley? Only with the two long screws or did you make some kind of knot? And what are the two smaller screws @11:46 for?
Oh thank you so much, that means alot, I really appreciate the feedback! This whole video production thing is pretty new to me and filming causes everything to take 3 times as long 😂. The new video should be out in the next couple of weeks 😊.
Its so good to see that I am not the only one completely overestimating my skill, but refusing to give up on it...its such a rewarding journey!! Keep up the good work and keep updating your channel...great content and also a good overview on that to keep in mind when trying to build a quad!! 🤩Makes me want to build one too!!! Are you on the mjbots discord?
I wouldn't say it's an overestimation, more so just being realistic with my capabilities and holding up a hopeful optimism ;) Quadrupeds are a good place to be, and seem to be the most capable multilegged platform with the least amount of joints. I've got some plans to make this one less cookie-cutter than most others... I would definitely give it a go :) I love your channel BTW, that SPM is a fantastic design! I am indeed on the MJ Bots discord.
@@michaelangeloonassis2427 Yeah, I kinda meant it that way too...more like the enthusiasm that gets you into these projects, and all of the sudden you are entangled in a project with just gets bigger with every problem you solve!! 😅 Thanks a lot for your compliment, its been a while since I had the time to work on my projects. But am slowly getting back to it!! Keep us posted, you are producing great content!! 🤩
Bro its seriously annoying to see that u have few subscribers u deserve way more , amaxing videos , amazing explanations , and ur creative , i also work in this field and i find that what u do is great keep it on bro
Wonderful work! I have a premature project but using compound cycloidal. I loved its design, it was extremely compact compared to mine! won a subscriber =D
one question man , where the hell can i buy control boards from ???? :))))) affordable too if u dont mind . Also i would hugely recommend Open Dynamic Robot Initiative yt channel , its in my opinion the most agile bot on the entire yt , it super small and very clean built and super fast and jumpy , maybe u can inspire your model after those people . OH and they respond to every message and question u ask them , they were very helpful to me
Hello! I'm not familiar with that particular project but I shall have to go check it out. I'm always looking for new inspiration :) The control boards are MJ Bots Moteus Controllers. The new video ua-cam.com/video/e8DJv6FBpJ0/v-deo.html goes into detail about them. "Affordable" is a relative term, these controllers are about $90 CAD per board. Considering what they can do, the size of the company, great community, and the fact that they include encoders, makes them a superb value to me. Cheers :)
These particular motors are from MJ Bots, but you can purchase very similar models from Ebay or Aliexpress at reasonable prices. These are the same size as is often used in larger industry-class drones.
Very impressive, what you cames up with the tensioning system is so smart !
