Very nice tutorial. I really liked the way you provided the historical background in the beginning. I have a question though. How do we launch a cluster of services using Fargate and a docker-compose.yml file? For example, docker-compose file version 3 allows us to specify the number of replicas of each service in the compose file. Now let's say I have a docker compose file that has 3 services, mongodb, nginx and expressJS app, each of them having different replication settings in the compose file. Is it possible to use this docker file somehow with the ECS and Fargate to launch a cluster?
Hey Mandeep, Yes, you can most defenitely lauch multiple container application on ECS using docker composer file. To be exact docker composer files are created for sole purpose of launching multiple serives in one go. Hope this helps!
Hey Gayathri, You can increase or decrease your compute capacity depending on the demands of. You can use the fleet management features of EC2 Auto Scaling to maintain the health and availability of your fleet. Amazon ECS keeps track of all the CPU, memory and other resources. Hope this helps!
