@@Bossbaby1919 In some cases, yes. Gallagher has a debuff which is a stack for acheron and break effect centric build which can be good with ruan mei(I think theoretically, though I'm not sure). Loucha is generally better because he has an emergency heal and cleanse which Gallagher doesn't and his heal isn't tied to a debuff which makes it more reliable than Gallagher's heal(when the enemy with the debuff dies you don't get to heal anymore).

Dude... what on EARTH do you mean that his 100% action advance is "only okay????" It literally allows you to turn a damaging ult into an emergency heal ult!!! Because you can use that extra turn to use your skill. Or use Basic > Ult > Basic to regenerate 2 SP making him SP positive in some cases???
One thing of note, Gallagher's team heal is still a debuff, yes, which does means in some edge cases it will be better than Luocha's abyss field. Why? Because hostage/detainment/instantkill effects will put Luocha in a state where he cannot auto heal/cleanse, and if it results in him being dead, even temporarily, it will make his field vanish. An example would be Memory Zone Meme "Something Unto Death" where if Luocha is one of the targets who is instant killed by the Sunset harvest effect, then he effectively has no way of saving you at all; however, Gallagher's Besotted debuff will linger on even if Gallagher is killed. We don't know exactly HOW MANY of these kinds of mechanics will arrive in the future, but for the here and now, this is one of the scenario's where you should run him. The main downside is less the fact that killing a wave doesn't transfer the Besotted debuff, rather, it is the fact that the debuff is still a debuff, meaning that faster enemy units with considerably faster speed will shed the effect sooner than you can reapply it, which is why his E4 is massive and also slighly better in scenarios similar to those mentioned above but also slightly better than Luocha's field because the field only lasts 2 turns.
This is a really good analysis. And it's why because I only have them at E2, I still don't think it's worth leveling him. He's going to need to be E4 in order for him to really be worth putting on a team. Which puts me in a really weird situation. Pull more on her Banner to try and get two copies of him? And maybe another copy of her if I was incredibly lucky. Or save and pull for Aventurine and his LC as Acheron's support, even though the chances of doing so are not great with the resources I have. Or just save everything and try and make FX or Gepard work with TUM for the foreseeable future.
He def benefits from maxing out his traces. He feels like a 5* that was gutted to make him a 4* like some other characters. His Es give him such massive buffs.

Also his healing is much more insane and skill positive than Lynx, he only lose in cleanse and also deal a lot of damage/delays enemies turns that have fire weakness. Probably none four star will gonna have a cleanse and debuff negation in Lynx level but will be better um every other way.
Just a tip tho, any preservation with the trend of the universal market light cone is better than Gallagher for debuff application as they get a debut everytime they get hit, especially Gepard cause he has higher EHR but any sustain generally is better than him
didn't pull archeon so I'm using this dude with dr.ratio and the team has been doing amazing. gonna try him out with imbibitor next to see if he's better than fu xuan to use in that team.
Gallagher is a good synergy unit to those who's planning to pull for Sam/Firefly. And with the upcoming imaginary Harmony TB. All three of them are break effect/dmg based units. You can also thrown in Xueyi as a sub DPS since she also scales with break effect
I absolutely love him, I've build mine like you would a Pela getting speed on every piece. He's similar to Loucha in that he's a healer that can gather skill points for your team and the fact that his ult if you use it after his turn can net you two skill points means I can have more skill point negative team mates. Also because of his high flat healing on trace investment I met his break effect cap, and I omitted outgoing healing and just built him for extra damage. I find that unless you have a high health target like a Blade or a Fu Xuan the extra healing is just overkill. Also taking him into simulated universe on the hunt path is so fun!
in Gold + Gears and Swarm Disaster having Gallagher + Preservation with Trend together on an Acheron team is literally insane. Immortal and a million stacks for Acheron per turn.
the best acheron sustainer is definitely preservation with sufficient ehr and trend of the universal market lightcone Gallagher can apply 2 debuff every 3 turns or so but fire tb fu xuan and gepart with universal market can apply one every time they're attacked
I was fighting in the simulated universe and took on the 2 bosses in a tavern with him; I messed up and only Gallagher survived, and he (with the help of path resonance) soloed them both lmao; it was path of the hunt but he just refused to die and kept recharging the resonance lmao
Gepard with Trend of the Universal Market LC is also pretty nice with Acheron. Whenever the enemy attacks Gepard, there's a high chance to apply burn on the attacker and thus giving a charge on Acherons ult. Problem of course is RNG of Gepard getting attacked and RNG for burn to proc. Not to mentions slowly losing health with just Gepard shields and bad RNG with someone else getting focused, which happens weirdly often.
Gallagher came in clutch for me on numerous occasions. Heals like a beast. As someone who doesn’t have 5 star sustains on my account yet, him and lynx are absolute lifesavers

And idk how much you know about Boothill but guy can put his elemnt for certain turns by himself on enemies. So there definitely will be more units like him in future. SW is one of the worst ageing 5* characters period

I suggest you should roll him until e4 or e2 since his e2 skill heal debuff and e4 can prolonged his talent. Overall, i enjoy using this guy since i dont have a 5 star healer
also shielders with the topaz preservation lc are very good for acheron teams bc everytime the wearer gets hit with a shied on, the enemy who attacked them will get the burn debuff for 1 turn wich counts as debuff for acheron. literally got 3 free stacks bc the enemies kept attacking my gepard. aoe attacks also count.
Snagged Gallagher to e2 while fishing for my Acheron and he is queued for raising once she's finished. However, I've been running Acheron with Pela, Silver and Sparkle and my god, the damage they do! I also have an e2 Welt and his slow sustain is no joke! Want to get Welt on a set of the debuff relics to up his personal damage 🤔 So torn over building Gallagher from scratch, or burying myself in the relic domain for Welt (and maybe better relics for Acheron while I'm there). I find getting the traces tedious and I have healers built already. So may go for improving Welt instead. The break set seems like it'll become more useful going forward, since the meta shift seems to be towards breakers.
Imo aside from a blade team which has lynx as the best four star option, at e2 Gallagher is the best four star healer even beating five stars like bailu

Her main problem is the lact of effect res, even Gallagher gets 78% for free, Bailu heals really good, but if she herself got CC’ed it turns into a real battle of RNG.
Harmony MC acheron gallagher and idek what else, sweet lord. Acheron benefits from debuffs by getting 1 stack per debuff apply, gallagher gets 2 in total per ult (1 from enhanced Q, 1 from besotted being applied) and harmony MC helps you get break effects which atleast apply 1 stack since break effect debuffs do apply, although I don't remember if harmony MC has anything else to use for debuffing potential since he plans to extend those weakness breaks and proc the break effect every time allies attack

Got him E6 due to 50/50 loss on Acheron. He's slighlty above break cap, heals like a beast, pretty happy with him as the sustain on my Acheron team. Just needs a good ER rope and he is set

ive been throwing every currency i get on the banners in this game. i yesterday even got acheron which i didnt need to get, really. started on luocha banner, got welt, got luocha, now got acheron... and in all those ca. 150 pulls only E3 gallagher (E2 but picked him on the event) - and half of the other 4-stars were Dan Heng, who was maxed before the banners even. its so sad.
being that he gains healing bonus based on a percentage of his own break effect, I'm using 2pc 2pc break effect sets and I was honestly shocked on how good he heals.
He helped me finally beat Aventurine and he’s only level 53 with some mid traces. Im equilibrium 6 by the way so his healing is really on a different level. (He’s e3 as well so the cleanse is a nice bonus)
I prefer multiplication on him, while he is really really really fast. More so than the 4* light cone. He is pretty cool. I like him as a sustain (I have Fire MC, March, Natasha, Linx, him, Bailu) edit: my relic set is 4 piece Musketer. Mainly for speed and I happened to have good pieces. edit 2: I personally think he is good in Jingliu - Blade - RuanMei - him Kafka - Sampo - Luka - him Dr Ratio - Tingyun - Pella - him Acheron - Pela - Nihility flex (in my case Sampo, I'll eventually build Gwen) - him I really like the overall feel. Yes, he is not the "auto godlike unit" that FuXuan or Luocha are. But he is really cool. The benefit of the first team over the others is that he will use his ult a lot -> proccing his resurgence and then proccing Multiplication again.
btw this is for what moga said about E2 Acheron at the start i had E0 and her signature at S1 I did around 55-60k damage (Ult level 6) Team: Natasha Silver Wold Bronya Acheron then I got E2 and still S1 signature idk how I ended up getting 320k ult with level 10 (still the same exact team and no change of relics) so lets say I had level 10 but E0 I would have most likely at max 80-90k damage at most and btw I have shit relics not even a single good one except the helmet one so in my opinion, it is very helpful to get E2 since you wont have to have a whole lot of crit and you can have 1 buffer and debuffer other than 2 debuffer
I feel like gepard is better is almost everytime he gets hit ( if you have high superimposition) and gepard gets hit a lot, if there are multiple enemies gepars is the one getting hit the most and with bosses they all have AoE atks and that works too
"His final bonus ability is OK" (He actually needs it to be a good healer by healing the entire party in a single action instead of requiring others to attack, since supports who dont want to attack only can heal from his skill which then makes you either need to use a skill point or waste that support's turn just to keep them alive instead of getting a AOE heal from his talent)
His healing is actually insane with perfect timing & 150 be he is healing 4k with his skill which is insane and he does 80k break damage with his ultimate i would say, against enemies that solo debuff my characters i would pick gallagher as the 4* sustain over lynx
if you want to maximise his healing potential you can run perfect timing on him and try to get as high BE with substats. he heals 4k on his skill with lvl 9 talent and perfect timing
I think he might be super good in a FuA team. Those attacks don't take up your skill points and let your characters heal extra in between their turns. I want to go test this.
Didn't think much of him at first, was only raising him because he's the only healer who can inflict debuff (which is good for Acheron). Turns out rather amazing, he can cleanse on skill (E2), his heal is flat numbers but very high (most of the time he can heal to full in one shot). Up there with Lynx, I would actually rate him higher because Lynx's cleanse is tied to her ult.
In term of healing luocha is better but unlike him, he can buff your dps break dmg. Seems like we're getting a break dps soon so he'll probably be a better choice for sustain
He is so fucking good, but you do need his E2 (his cleanse) at minimum. And he is definitely becoming a top tier healer when he is E4 (one more turn for his healing)

He's slighlty above break cap, heals like a beast, pretty happy with him as the sustain on my Acheron team. Just needs a good ER rope and he is set

ive been throwing every currency i get on the banners in this game. i yesterday even got acheron which i didnt need to get, really. started on luocha banner, got welt, got luocha, now got acheron... and in all those ca. 150 pulls only E3 gallagher (E2 but picked him on the event) - and half of the other 4-stars were Dan Heng, who was maxed before the banners even. its so sad.
Gallagher is on the free 4* selector, so at least you can get an e0 🥲
hes a 4* yet he has one of coolest visuals as for 4*

being that he gains healing bonus based on a percentage of his own break effect, I'm using 2pc 2pc break effect sets and I was honestly shocked on how good he heals.
He helped me finally beat Aventurine and he’s only level 53 with some mid traces. Im equilibrium 6 by the way so his healing is really on a different level. (He’s e3 as well so the cleanse is a nice bonus)
Yeah, He's one of the only sustains with ways to do AOE so he's among the few that actually help in that bossfight in the annoying gamble gimmick

I prefer multiplication on him, while he is really really really fast. More so than the 4* light cone.
He is pretty cool. I like him as a sustain (I have Fire MC, March, Natasha, Linx, him, Bailu)
edit: my relic set is 4 piece Musketer. Mainly for speed and I happened to have good pieces.

I really like the overall feel. Yes, he is not the "auto godlike unit" that FuXuan or Luocha are. But he is really cool.
The benefit of the first team over the others is that he will use his ult a lot -> proccing his resurgence and then proccing Multiplication again.
I just realize his attack is 3 claw slash and I remember it died with 3 slash too ........... I think I just got spoiled.

btw this is for what moga said about E2 Acheron
at the start i had E0 and her signature at S1 I did around 55-60k damage (Ult level 6) Team: Natasha Silver Wold Bronya Acheron
then I got E2 and still S1 signature idk how I ended up getting 320k ult with level 10 (still the same exact team and no change of relics)
so lets say I had level 10 but E0 I would have most likely at max 80-90k damage at most and btw I have shit relics not even a single good one except the helmet one
so in my opinion, it is very helpful to get E2 since you wont have to have a whole lot of crit and you can have 1 buffer and debuffer other than 2 debuffer
Moga how do you think he fares compared to gepard with universal trend LC?
I feel like gepard is better is almost everytime he gets hit ( if you have high superimposition) and gepard gets hit a lot, if there are multiple enemies gepars is the one getting hit the most and with bosses they all have AoE atks and that works too

"His final bonus ability is OK" (He actually needs it to be a good healer by healing the entire party in a single action instead of requiring others to attack, since supports who dont want to attack only can heal from his skill which then makes you either need to use a skill point or waste that support's turn just to keep them alive instead of getting a AOE heal from his talent)

My E3 Gallagher has been a great sustain
His healing is actually insane
with perfect timing & 150 be he is healing 4k with his skill which is insane
and he does 80k break damage with his ultimate
i would say, against enemies that solo debuff my characters i would pick gallagher as the 4* sustain over lynx
His best lightcone is acctually the one with Luocha and Jung yuan cuz he gets insane effect res from cons

if enemy has debuffs go ghallager especially if he's e2 if they don't go bailu cuz her healing and dmg mitigation is cracked

if you want to maximise his healing potential you can run perfect timing on him and try to get as high BE with substats. he heals 4k on his skill with lvl 9 talent and perfect timing

I think he might be super good in a FuA team. Those attacks don't take up your skill points and let your characters heal extra in between their turns. I want to go test this.
Didn't think much of him at first, was only raising him because he's the only healer who can inflict debuff (which is good for Acheron). Turns out rather amazing, he can cleanse on skill (E2), his heal is flat numbers but very high (most of the time he can heal to full in one shot). Up there with Lynx, I would actually rate him higher because Lynx's cleanse is tied to her ult.
Watching this as I'm raising my own Gallagher. He's legitimately good.

In term of healing luocha is better but unlike him, he can buff your dps break dmg. Seems like we're getting a break dps soon so he'll probably be a better choice for sustain

He is so fucking good, but you do need his E2 (his cleanse) at minimum. And he is definitely becoming a top tier healer when he is E4 (one more turn for his healing)

yeah, he comes in clutch thanks to the unbeatable-cannot win without 2 healers 1 tank new boss that's also softlocking the tralblaze questline, so now i have to build gallagher when i'm broke
