- Start as a very basic creature, eat what you can and don't get eaten yourself. Sounds familiar right? The more you evolve the more other creatures you can eat, but also you're worth more for others to eat. That means at some point the strongest on the map will be trying their best to eat you. I made it to this point, only to misclick in a panic and become a creature I would not have picked. This more or less led me to dying and setting me back a few evolutions, and from there it was a struggle to gain ground again.. I was so close.. Mope.io gameplay with my commentary as always!

Circles meanings
Green: eatable
Dark green: cannot eat but it won’t eat you
Red: will eat you
+tip: you can sometimes bite players tails

I remember playing this a few years ago.
One thing you can do is attack bigger creatures from behind to bite their tail. That gives you some xp and lowers theirs. In theory a small animal can eventually eat a big one like that.
I also remember where you are when you evolve impacted what options you had. Like if you evolved in the volcano area as a certain thing you could become a dragon.
Actually, a deer will eat a mole. I've seen it happen and have done enough research to know it's true. Odd, yes, but true.
Deer aren't carnivores but sure lmao. Believe the internet 😆
SpazzHD sometimes they have vitamin deficiencies and will resort to eating small animals. I saw a deer eat a small bird in a BBC documentary.

some tips
you can bite red animal's tail for a lot of xp
you can attack light green animal and they won't be able to attack you
you are neutral to dark green animals, they can;t atatck you and you can't attack them
having water makes you be able to boost, you can't do that if you are low on water
when you are picking a animal, the background color shows which biome they are in
animals can travle to diffrent bioms, they will just take damage from time to time
press s to spit out water, water can break down things like mushroom, pumpkins, snowballs etc
desert gives the most xp
when you are high enough levle, you can attack cactus in the desert to get a bunch of xp, the higher levle animal you have, the more xp you get
aloes in the desert heals you
some animals have ability that can damage food, but eating the food with your animals instead o the ability gives you more xp
big animals can only hide in big holes while small animals can hide in both
purple stones heal you and gives you water and xp
animals have diffrent abilities, use them to your advantage
eat big seaweed when you are a jellyfish, you can levle up super fast
eat acorn when you are a muskox, you can levle up super fast
some animals can climb hills, mountains, or both, while some can't

25 seconds in and DF already wants to be a creature that eats framerate.
Advice: Look on the bottom left, that tells you your ability. The prickly thing in the desert that I think is a cactus gives you 50K Xp or something like that. Bite the tail of people who are more powerful than you, you hurt them and take some of their XP. That all I can think of!

Some tips:
Light Green Circle: You can eat it; It can bite your tail
Dark Green Circle: You can't eat it; It can't eat you (abilities still work on each other)
Red Circle: It can eat you; You can bite its tail.
My favorite are water creatures. While in water you are always drinking so you don't have to worry about dying of thirst.
Hold "w" to hide underwater. While underwater nothing can attack you and you can swim under rocks, but you lose air.
All creatures, when outside of water, can spit water using "s." I find that this is only useful when playing with friends or making allies.
Some strategies:
-When playing as an eagle pick up water creatures that you can eat and drop them on land. They won't be able to move and will die pretty fast.
-When playing as a spider trap creatures in holes by putting a web on top (just like what was done to you in this video).
-When playing as an octopus use your ability to change into a small creature or food and wait for something to attack you. If it's a light green circle, then eat it. If it's a red circle, then you will stun it and can run away.
-When small, go to the ends of the rivers for lots of exp. Seaweed, shells, and other food float down the river and clump together at the end.
-When big, go to the ends of the rivers and hide. Wait for a smaller creature to come get the exp and attack them.

Best way to start is be a water animal and find a healing crystal to get ez xp....After it’s used up go to the desert and don’t leave until you are a T-Rex, the desert is the easiest place to get xp, but it’s also the most dangerous so play on low activity servers

quick tips: you can eat animals with the light green circle, and not the dark one
the gorilla throws fruits when on a tree
you can't get in some holes that are too small
you can bite red circle player's tails for lots of xp
the lion's roar can stun players
ducklings and duck eggs are good in early stages, at least from my experience
also if you're an eagle a good strat is to get fish on land and eat their meat, this way you can kill lots of players easily and get some xp

Classic DF, playing a game about evolution
Some tips:
Gorilla can throw fruits when it's on a Hill. It stuns and can help kill prey.
Cassowary's ability ends if you touch a Hill, Rock, or big Hole. Steer clear of those. Also, try to kick animals that can't climb Hills into Hills so you can eat them easier.
Toucan is a good choice, coming from me, the Toucan guy. It flies, and if you were in a Fruit tree or Fruit bush before-hand, it throws a fruit that stuns. Coconuts are extra powerful. Also, it can climb Trees if you press 'S' when below one.
Elephant is EASILY the best choice for its tier. It can go into the Desert without burning, and its ability hurts food, so you can eat food with it. It instantly eats breakable foods that are below half-health. All of this means it can go to the Desert and farm Cacti for free. It's a bit slow and you'll need to watch out for Pterodactyls and Giant Scorpions, as well as the occasional T-Rex or Dino Monster, but just be wary and they shouldn't be problems as you farm Cacti.

the only problem being faster than light is that you have to live in darkness
Purple crystals are op when near them they heal you and give *lots* of experience no matter what u are
pro tips, from a mope pro.
if you find a beehive in a mud pit, stay away from it, don't touch it, don't even breathe on it unless you're something with good bee resistance, like an elephant or bear, about five billion bees will come out and sting you, slowing you and just being generally annoying.
if you're low tiered, try and stay away from the center (the volcano) because BDs (black dragon, second highest tier), KDs (king dragons, highest tier) phoenixes, land, and dino monsters tend to gather there, sometimes lava toucans and golden eagles as well, and they all tend to be trollers and bullies.
S to spit water, fire if you're a fire animal, like a phoenix or lava toucan.
aloe vera (spawns in desert) heals you, it's very useful in later tiers.
a recommended evolution route is
desert mouse (eat those churros shaped things in the desert)
rabbit (shoot mushrooms with S)
meerkat (eat cactus fruits!)
pig (eat carrots, they spawn in mud puddles)
reindeer (cloudberries give good xp)
jellyfish (big seaweed in the ocean give loads of xp, and watching jellyfish get fat is amusing)
donkey (eating a bee can level you up twice)
cobra (eat more bees)
bear (MORE BEES)
vulture (eating whole aloe vera plants is very profitable)
eagle or bison (bison is better if you have a lot of patience and don't want to fight people, as you can just eat cacti and aloe vera plants, but eagle is good if you want to go on the offensive and throw people into lava or into the ocean)
komodo dragon (komodo is good for cacti farming, like the bison, as well attacking, as it has a poison bite, which causes animals bitten to sweat and lose water, which is very dangerous in the desert)
elephant (you can easily hulk smash things and cacti, and it works pretty well in the desert)
for tier fifteen, the first apex animal, all of them are pretty good, but if you want to go on the offensive on land, trex might be the best, and in the water, the kraken, but king crab works well, both on land and in the ocean, as king crab's hulk smash ability does lots of damage when on land, and is good for beating up other apex animals, like dragons. this is one of the hardest tiers to evolve past, because everything below you runs away, and everything above you will violently try to put you in its mouth. a good solution is teaming with others, to farm plants and get tail bites, and potentially collect their EXP when they need to leave, killing them with tail bites. another solution is 1v1'ing others, but that needs a whole entire paragraph to explain.
for the sixteenth tier, the monsters, they're all good, and if you make it here, congrats, you're a true gamer.
seventeenth tier. black dragon, it's the only option. i've only gotten here twice, and i'm pretty skilled at the game. if you make it here, the only other option is up. seventeenth is one of the most dangerous tiers, because you'll be either first or second on the leaderboard, meaning you'll get targeted by everyone below you, including t-rexes, monsters, golden eagle, yetis, teamers, trollers, and hackers. the whole server will probably be against you at this point, so good luck. the only way to evolve to the strongest level is by eating one of every apex, meaning one of every single monster, and one of every single dragon tier.
A way to evolve in this game without much risk is the big purple stones. You sit on one of those and you will evolve quite fast at the early levels.

I love when I’m like a bird or something and I eat an entire hippo, ah nature.
THE PURPLE GEMS DF, THEY GIVE XP
you can press S to spit out some water, if you spit continuously at a mushroom bush or a snowball, it will drop mushrooms you can eat
So basically, i haven't played this game in a long while, on land if you want a casual start go to the acrtic biome, cause the food there levels you up quickly, if you want to make plays, donkey and giraffe kicks can actually dmg enemys with a dark green ring (which means they are either far below or beneath your level so you can't attack them, abilities are an exception), the water is kinda cancer so for starters i wouldn't recommend, you get harassed by all the dark green enemies below your level who try to push you out of the water so you do of thirst, or high level enemies just camp below water or beneath rocks so you can't see what animal they are and eat you (because water animals are campers :). also you should REALLY REALLY try out the abilities more.
further: you cant go into holes which are smaller than you if you haven't figured that out yet
what else... i love the spider cause you can harass people so much and although its a camper animal it's alot of fun (should really give it a try)
i don't know bout the dessert tho, when i left it wasn't there yet ):
and last, i don't know about the new animals/meta so dont take everything here as the truth, pretty sure what i wrote shouldn't have really changed that much

edit: if you're out of water you can't space anymore and take dmg, that's why i love spiders, you chase someone, they crawl into a mudhole and you just spin a huge net above it till they slowly and painfully run out of water and die of dehydration... so satisfying. also this game is kinda tilting if you don't know whats going on, especially since you always said that things are quicker than you, which is only half true, you still have all those abilities which can be used passively. examples: rhino->speed, gorilla->throw banana from tree, donkey->kick etc. etc. it's not so hard as you make it out to be because every ability has some defensive use, except when the enemie really doens't wanna give up and likes to waste time, you can always get away
Big brain tip s if you play again:In the arctic,there are chipmunks you an eat from 2 to 5 tier.The are also purple fruits there you can eat(they both give a lot of xp)
from rhino tier and up,the cacti in the desert give you 25k+ xp!! Bees also give alot of xp(6-9k).
Imagine if he played this when all the animals had op abilities

Dark Green items are items that can’t eat you and you can’t eat them. Red means they can eat you. Light green means you can eat them
you can eat things with a light green circle
you can't eat things with a dark green circle, but they cam't eat you neither
people with red circles can eat you
And btw those pink crystals give you a LOT of xp, you just have to keep eating it (it may take a while, but I think it's worth it)
When you are the bear the bees don't slow you down so just go ham on the bee hives when you are a bear

Just a random fact.
You might think the desert sucks and has no food, but the desert has some of the highest sources of XP in the game. The spiky balls that hurt you give TONS of XP if you can survive eating them. Also the large aloe bushes give about 1/5th the XP that the spiky plants give. Still a ton though. Also if you fully eat a large aloe plant you get temporary invincibility.

if you kill all other apex monsters as a black dragon you can evolve into the KING Dragon thats what the black dragon was doing there searching for a scorpion so he can be KING dragon the real best thing they can only be 1 king dragon if you want to be king dragon you must kill the other king dragon

I mean, I've played that game lots but ive never even become the black dragon, only ever the normal dragon. If I were to say, I've played that game for 140+ hours. There was this time when I played for 13 hours straight (I'm a very stubborn person, and I insisted on becoming the black dragon), I was so damn close but I didn't even become the bloody black dragon, I was only missing like 100K points! I was so mad that I smacked my sister I her face .
