There are high costs involved in body cameras. Not so much the equipment as there might be grants etc that help with that. Its the retention and massive amounts of storage required to keep the footage. In addition there's also the personnel needed to make videos for court, prosecutors, defense etc. Some Depts realistically can't financially take on that burden

It never ceases to amaze me how many LEO's in TX are apparently unaware of their own state's identification statutes. Or, more disturbingly, they are aware of them but count on the general public's ignorance of these statutes & fear of police to circumvent these laws.
