I just love farmhouse style, I wish me & my husband can be bless with one of them gorgeous homes. We raised 6 nieces plus my son of of his & my son income. Now we raising my great nephew and niece. I lovd doing diys & cramp up in our little apartment is better than none. Plus my son who I haven't seen in 15 years is back. I miss him so much. I love y'all work. Keep it up. Amazing

Would have loved a short explanation on the temperature differences between a shingle and a metal roof.

Absolutely stunning house, I wish I could have a house in the states redesigned for me, it’s so much easier with the beautiful wood frame. Here everything has to be brick, 10 times more work. Extreme makeover home edition, could never come to the UK, they would have to send the home owners away for 6 months.
where I live, wood is very expensive, brick is ever lasting

Wood Houses aren't cardboard houses. It's all how you build them. The oldest wood building still standing was built in 607 AD. My great grandfather built an wood House in Texas that he varnished every bit of wood. The wood is so hard that when you cut into it you need to sharpen the tool multiple times. It survived being hit head on by tornadoes.

I would have chosen a darker colored roof. It was too shiny/metallic for my taste. But overall great transformation.

Im from the Caribbean and we build houses with steel, blocks and concrete. I cant get over how flimsy these American houses are.
True but it depends on their state, then you have to account for the fact that Mississippi is a tornado state. So I think the flimsyness protects people from getting killed... btw I'm from yhe Caribbean too.
Caribbean homes are tyically " not attractive" you all have to have homes built like that. Look at the environment you all are surrounded by.

My moms mantle is like that. She bought the house with it like that and hers is a gas fireplace. It’s basically sitting in the middle of the floor 😅

I love what you do reclaiming old with new is great. This is the first time I have seen something I don't agree with and I hesitated to mention it but just for future knowledge I felt I should. The metal roof is great but choice of color concerns me. I have a silver metal roof on a separate structure and the silver acts as a large reflective mirror being seen as something bright and flashing in the sunlight for miles. Not conductive of blending in with the surroundings and at sunset with orange in the sky the neighbors often wonder if my place is on fire. Just and FYI if you ever use metal roofing again.
Very nice.... The only thing I didn't like that's easily changed .. the ugly living room curtains....
I love that their designs include color and are unique and individualized. They seem so lovely and they are a pleasure to watch. My only reservation is that because they are Christians, I am curious if they are LGBTQ inclusive.
The never voiced anything negative about the LGBTQ community as far as I am aware and had same sex couples on their show.
Beautiful. Only thing I would have done differently is not painted the front door and stained it instead, because it’s a beautiful door and wouldn’t be too match-match with the shudders. But otherwise the remodel is awesome.
This is a beautiful house!!! Does the pool require a safety fence?
With all the wildlife the pool needs a screen or there's going to be drownings.

The result is beautiful! Well done. I have one question, and it applies to vurtually every house on the show. Why do all the front doors open directly into the lihing room? Dreadfully inefficient from an energy perspective. Every time the door opens a blast of hot or cold air goes ripping through the house. Equally bad is that everyone coming through the front door is directly on the floor, often wood, that is going to suffer. It means that the area at the door is going to need repair and replacrment much more often than the rest. Lastly, there is almost never somewhere to hang coats or other outerwear and nowhere to sit and remove wet or snowy footwear, and nowhere for the cobbler's at home, when guests need to put on ourdoor footwear. This is not an attack on Erin, because this is almost universal and cooked into the design DNA of the houses. One additional benefit to an air lock is that it makesit easier to keep pets indoirs, so they cannot run away. Im a beagle person. Those hellions can be half s mile away before it registrs that you just saw a tricolour streak go flying by

Sorry but some of the work they do is sloppy. I would not buy a house from then I would only buy a house built by the show This Old House or Holmes these are sold builders.
I love love love these 2 so much. I love their love story. I have every single episode recorded and have watched them over and over buuuuuut every single house ends up looking the same. Erin's style is kinda boring..... Sorry. She should really gets some style advice from Joanna Gaines. Now everyone of her houses end up looking AMAZING. But I really do love these guys I just think she needs to learn some more style. And she REALLY NEEDS TO LET BEN FINISH A DARN SENTENCE🙄😏
I disagree I think Erin’s style is way better than Joanna’s style.
I really dislike this program. My favorite is House Hunters & International but these never have a marathon run
