The truth is media bias has been around as long as media. See the great Gary Cooper classic Meet John Doe which is based on this very premise. Yes media errors also happen and are CORRECTED. HOWEVER a lie and bias are not the same thing, and reputable media has some accountability while false media has none.
Harry Truman, who also had a somewhat contentious relationship with the media, said "You can never get all the facts from just one newspaper, and unless you have all the facts, you cannot make proper judgements about what is going on" This is good advice. Rather than SEEK "alternative facts" though bs "alternative news" I look at right and left wing MSM outlets and THINK CRITICALLY.
Selecting media based on confirmation bias is not confirmation it is simply bias. Therefor persons who seek the TRUTH seek reputable sources.
