But he didn't do anything lol! Ippolita was an old friend of him. They knew each other well from the past and now she helped him succeed in getting out alive of Naples. Without her he would have probably died.
They had deep respect for each other. But when Ippolita tried to seduce him he stopped her because he respected Clarice and their marriage too much. No one would have known if they had slept with each other. But Lorenzo stopped Ippolita because he wanted to stay faithful and respectful to Clarice.

Kaity I know, I’ve seen the 3rd season. It’s just that for me telling another person that you’re attracted to her and sharing a kiss is already cheating, even if he refused to have sex with her. He already did that once to Clarice with Lucrezia. And apart from all the drama around their love life, he continued to make her suffer with his arrangements. Don’t get me wrong, I L-O-V-E Medici and it’s more about history but since they added up romance to it, I think this episode deal was unnecessary and useless.
