Did you watch the same video as me? He was charged with a "Section 5, public order offence" - you get that, your guns will be taken from you. He clearly had a bad relationship with the family/ex family members in question. It makes sense for them to take the firearms in this case. Why wouldn't they? No conspiracy here I'm afraid. My son had his Landrover Discovery stolen in Putney London, he gave the police camera evidence of the offenders vehicle clearly showing the registration plates. The Police checked it out and said the vehicle had been traced to an area outside of their area durisdiction and did nothing but give him a crime no. . Unbelievable waste of space only interested in the easy target.

Breach of the peace is NOT an indictable offence. How those police didn't know that is scandalous. You cannot be charged at a police station. They can only remove you from the area to stop a breach of the peace occurring or prevent it. In this case it was irrelevant as he wasn't there, he was at home. Definitely a case for suing police for wrongful arrest.
I had my Toyota stolen in London and even though i have a tracker on it and i gave the police the exact location of the vehicle, they weren't interested. All i got was a crime reference number , so i went and stole it back from the scumbags. They even refused to assist me when i asked for help in retrieving my motor, as it was pitch black where it was hidden and i was with my Mrs, whom was quite scared by the situation. Later that day i got a call from police triyng to appologise for taking no action whatsoever, and to add insult to injury, i got an email from the Mayor's Office for Policing and Crime, asking me to complete a satisfaction survey... They become a bloody joke!

My understanding of the law is that you cannot be arrested for a public order offense within your own home. So the original arrest wasn't legal from the outset.
Les has now got a criminal record because he accepted that section 5 of the public order act fixed penalty fine, he may not understand that. This will stay with him forever. This country has lost the plot as have the police, Blair’s government was the start of all of this woke rubbish . Les should try a low profile now and avoid any contact with the law as it will end badly for him. The police have to investigate this kind of complaint and removal of the guns is going to be part of that. Can you imagine what would hit the fan if the argument had escalated and somebody had been shot dead? The problem is with the police’s failure to process the case quickly and return the guns. Only when they have to compensate people who have had the tools of their trade removed will they do this properly.
Section 5 POA offences involve more than just swearing. I would not have pleaded guilty to that - they would likely have NFAed it. The initial arrest for breach of the peace sounds unlawful. Both pieces of legislation are poorly understood by street police officers. Do not admit to anything without advice from specialist solicitors, especially where firearms and livelihoods are at risk.

As an FAC holder your held to a much higher standard of behavior and even a slight infraction or minor offence will see armed response and a very heavy handed approach,...unless of course it was Devon and Cornwall five years ago when apparently even a physical assault was not deemed reason enough to withheld a firearm ?

I used to work in a gunshop, and believe me, you would not believe some of the reasons people had their rifles revoked. One guy had his licence revoked because he ran his own business, and someone would not pay. He said he would take them to court, and the customer said he threatened them with court. The first thing the police did before anything else was take his guns. Another was a guy whose neighbour was anti hunting. She rang the police and said he threatened to shoot her, guns taken, spent weekend in police cells, he lost his licence because it could not be proved one way or another wether he was lying or the woman so they said they could not take a chance and that was that licence gone. So, literally, you don't have to do anything wrong. You can be sat at home dreaming of that high bird that pesky fox or that next stalk. Then, to seconds later, you have a knock at the door, and that's it your life's changed forever.
I think this may have more to do with the guy attending his ex wife's house and becoming abusive. That'll do it every time and the Police are just doing their job. Gun owners, think twice before being abusive towards anyone, especially in a domestic type situation.

The police did not seize the firearms due to him swearing, they have seized them because someone who possesses firearms has got involved in argument and has acted in a way that has caused concern. Regardless of what you think of the police, in this case they seem to have acted in a fair and correct manner.
I believe it's standard practice for all Police Forces throughout the UK to visit and remove all guns held by a certificate holder should any type of complaint be made against the certificate holder and correctly so IMO. This allows tempers to be moderated and the passage of time which also allows proper investigation of the allegations made. Clearly Police acted appropriately and in balance in this particular matter with this gentleman IMO.
So he: Has a history of aggressive behavior. Has approached members of the public that were walking on public rights of way saying they risk getting shot (public don’t report you to the police for being polite) Went around to his ex wifes house to threaten her. His own daughter has disowned him. Has concerns reported from multiple family members. This was not because he swore.
I do have sympathy with this gentleman, but in the Police's defence (I rarely defend them), it seems they have been caught up in a family feud. So I have some sympathy with them too.
