The biggest miss was scrapping the Shellder found on Slowbro. I’m probably wrong on this but maybe because back then you couldn’t have two separate Pokémon identify with the same name?
I don't know, but I 100% agree with you on scrapping the Shellder being a miss!

I'm not sure about Bubblypuff, but it does look cute. ❤ As for Crocky...well...I would imagine if that name was actually based off of Steve Irwin's catchphrase from the Crocodile Hunter," Crikey!" (We still miss you, Steve Irwin. You are one helluva Crocodile Hunter.)
I don't know how I completely missed the resemblence of Crocky being almost a 1-to-1 with "Crikey" - thanks for pointing that out!
