- Tuesday, April 16, 2024, Maryville was hit with the most insane storm you've ever seen. It was reported by the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill, MO that there were no tornado warnings, but there were EF-1 tornadoes that touched down in Nodaway County northeast of Maryville, MO about ten minutes earlier around 8:50 to 8:53 a.m. while I stood working in Wal Mart The Auto Center. In addition to 3.4 miles of damage, it was estimated to have been 25 yards wide at its maximum width, with peak winds estimated to be 75 mph. One injury was reported as a result of a tornado and no injuries were reported with this tornado. I am glad no one was injured!
