First time I held him, he wrapped his tail around my waist and placed his head softly on my shoulder. 20 yrs together, we’ve been through a lot, traveled everywhere together, he never once hissed. Did do all of the rest regularly. Rip!!! I will always love you, my beautiful boy.

Many yrs. ago I had the most beautiful black lab., with a heart and soul like no other. Or so I felt him to be to me. We also had a love I can never forget, 16 yrs. we had, I thought my heart would never recover. So I got a cat.

Same here. All my cats do 2-5, but never hissed at me. They hissed at spooky/dangerous animals that entered my home though. My cats aren't just my friends, but they're also my guardian angels. My condolences to you my fellow cat person, I know exactly how it feels to lose our fur besties...❤
My cat never purred, never kneaded, only DIDN'T hiss at me while hissing at everyone else. Only followed me around. Dude was so grumpy but so loveable, got me through elementary to college.

Felines are exceptionally sensitive. One or two negative experiences, especially as a kitten could have caused this sort of defensive behavior for the rest of his life. So if someone was ever mean or hurtful to him it could have been genuinely traumatic. Most cats we think are "mean" are just completely terrified and their defence mechanisms are in high gear. (P.s. and I'm not implying you ever were mean to him. It definitely doesn't sound like that. )
All of them! I just found a homeless starving abandoned kitty while I was skateboarding home from work the other night. She let me walk up to her and pick her up so I took her home and adopted her. I was worried because she is skin and bones but she started eating a can of tuna and drinking milk right away! Now she is still eating alot but seems very happy and she's so affectionate and vocal :) I'm so happy that Our heavenly Father brought us together 😊 Oh yeah! She's polydactyl front and back paws!

Please keep in mind cats are lactose intolerant. I have no idea why it's a thing in cartoons and such. Maybe people didn't realize cow milk doesn't equal cat milk.

Got you beat. I was living in Louisiana and started feeding a stray. Caught the flu and was down for days. When recovered, I opened the door to find a pile of Crawfish and rodents at my step. Lil man was trying to feed me like I did him. Let him inside after that and have him for 10 years now.

Except the hissing, yes...my cats do these all the time. ❤❤❤❤❤ They only hiss if there's something spooky/dangerous happening. They saved me from scorpions, giant centipedes, monitor lizards, chivets, and even snakes countless times. I live alone in a sub-rural area near a huge cemetery complex, so my cats are not just my friends, but also my guardian angels. ❤

Mine hisses if you look at him sideways! He doesn't like to be touched unless he gives permission and even then, it's pet at your own risk! Oven mits help!

I think she has PTSD .. she won’t go near any other human besides myself and my dog.
She hisses a lot.. 🤷♀️ She’s well cared for. She does sleep on my bed at night and she kneads.
My cat used to sleep with one leg over my knee, on my pillow around my head, or just on his back with a smile - he was a stray I took in. I miss that cat so much 💜

Ok, Good! My big boy isn't fully domesticated, we're working on him trusting humans & understand petting & love. He's attacked me plenty before, but he's always doing both tail things, needing me & he does let me give him a quick hug sometimes too. I can't wait for the day he jumps into my Lap & doesn't leave 🥰🐈
Me too my cat is mean . I've always been good to her . She is my moms cat but I visit and she likes me. My step-dad is so mean to her . She is abused by him he yells at her and she hides alot . But when I get there she runs to me .
We have 2 post-feral cats. One arrived at age 2 and within a month, was sitting in my lap. Sh e is a Velcro kitty, but even after 18 years, cannot tolerate being picked up, but when we are sitting, she runs right over.

Kitty #2 was 4 years old. It has taken much longer for her to accept teepee living. She added signs of increased comfort one by one. (The first time she let me tickle her cheeks, I cried.) 4 years later, she will sleep near me at night, but sleeps ON my partner. If either of us tries to pick her up, she flees in a hissy panic. She may never tolerate that.

My cat has never hissed at me and she doesn’t kneed and doesn’t drape her tail. (I have cats in the past who did kneed and their tails.) She does, look me directly in the eye, her tail is always upright, and she checks my bedroom every night at the same time and makes sure all is well in her territory.

since the person said kneading is when the kitten wants to drink milk, could it be that your cats were fed by bottle because they were separated from their mother since young?

About a year ago I rescued a cat that was being abused. I literally took her from her owners. It took me months before she would come out under our couch. Today, she has turned into a loving and caring cat. I would die for my cat!

I adopted a very little one from someone who posted on a group with a bunch of cats mentioned it was for adoption.. she said she found them all in a garbage area..(this means not just around near some big dustbins..but that is a whole big area surrounded with high walls and fences..that is a site for our whole island's dumping area after collecting all the garbages.. I got a multi coloured one..after the adoption constantly purring and jumping and playing... So cute and loving 😍

My cat only hissed when my friend picked him up as a kitten. It was the first day we both met our cats, as we found them through a person who rescued them. He wasn’t mean, just scared, and jumped out of my friends arms and curled up in the corner in a defensive posture. I went over and calmly picked him up, and he started purring immediately. He chose me for sure. It’s been 3 years now and I could never ask for a better companion. Lets me rub his belly, always whapping me with his tail, gives me little headbutts… the best kitty.
Though he is orange and therefore completely insane…

After leading me in the direction I'm going in, my sweetie flops in my path and DEMANDS belly pets, and won't stop until I give them to her.
I have a cats only pillow at the head of the bed, and my girl loves to take advantage of it for loves, pets, and draping her tail as we snuggle. She's currently on this pillow, but low enough to slide under my head, trying to be MY pillow! Not sure why she wants to be my pillow, but she does.

Hissing is a way for cat to relief stress. One of my cat is hissing when we're playing with toys. At first i was scared if i did something wrong, but our beloved Jackson Galaxy explaines it. Some of them are hissing to just get that stress and anger out. Just like people's cursing! Honestly it'll be better if you visit a vet, maybe your're cat is feeling pain or is anxious about something

Only all the time! My little orange long hair princess is obsessed with me! Car rides for pup cups, During fall and spring I take her for bicycle rides, and she walks with a leash at parks. She even drinks out the tolit. Can't imagine my life without her ❤

Except the hissing that was certainly my cat. Very attached, always glad to see me, enjoyed belly rubbins. My mother's cat wasn't into them but he was otherwise still a very friendly cat. They were great critters and I miss them, but I sure am glad they're out of their misery.

My cat was a stray at the humane society. 1 year old, nobody claimed her. Her cage said, "Visit me later. I've had a bad day. " i asked a worker what the issue was. She apparently was nippy with everyone she met. I asked if i could reach in her cage and say hello, and they told me at my own risk. When i put my hand in that cage, anything could have happened, but once my hand was close enough, she snuggled right up to it, and from that point, we've been best friends. She doesn't like anyone except me, and that's no exaggeration.

also forgetting the belly rubs, and no scratching at all! and ontop of sleeping around you at the foot of the bed or near you which is a extreme sign of trust and treating your cat right aswell.
