Great video again! I didn't know any of these facts, but about the 10, I think that I understand how it works: the game knows that the Voodoo-Dolls exist, but it's set up for have a 0% chance to be get for the player.
Thanks! Yes, you are right! In order for the player not to acquire this power-up, the chances for it have been reduced to the absolute zero. Then again, you could increase them by using cheats, although I'm not sure whether the coding of the power-up will be active.
It's too bad Coco doesn't have a pink car. It looked good. The voodoo doll idea would be neat as well, though I like how you can still see it in-game. I both love and hate when they tease us with a left over into the final release. Also, retro option would be incredibly cool, it's a damn shame they didn't have time to continue with that. Other than that, interesting video for CTR II. :-)
Oh, it's true. It's damn true! This voodoo doll probably would have been my favourite weapon if they hadn't removed it! I agree with you there. The same goes for the "Virtual Lobby". Imagine you and me, for example, racing against each other via server connection. Plus, if you add the "Retro Option" to feature a race on a certain CTR track. Man, that would have been awesome! Thanks for the comment, buddy!
In nitro fueled aka the crash team racing remake you can give her a pink team bandicoot kart via kart customization in game but it would've been cool if that was her kart color in cnk
Indeed. Although I do wonder whether this would have been a good or bad thing since if Crash Nitro Kart did have an Online Mode and the ability to play retro tracks, then Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled would have brought nothing new to the players, except better graphics, couple of extra characters and a few different modes.
CrashFan95And in the process of making Nitro Fueled seem not as needed, it would probably end up boosting Nitro Kart’s ratings, and people would bash on it less. And even then, Nitro Fueled would still end up being beloved in the end because it still is adding new things and improving on Nitro Kart and Team Racing.
That's true. However, there is no doubt that the thing the players expected the most was, actually still is, a massive disappointment, that being the Online Mode. Beenox's servers really messed up the whole experience.
3:52 happened to me right after I beat Velo for the first time ever. I literally cried, and I didn't touch the game again for months. I eventually went back and 100%'d it with both teams, though.
That sucks, dude. I have also come across similar glitches in my years of playing video games and it was indeed an extremely annoying experience, to say the least.
Yeah, i remenbered playing recently Bounce Tales, (With an Java emulation) and came across 2 game-breaking glitches on the final boss level: 1: One layout has 2 slopes merged into one formation of V that for unknown reasons, it sometimes clips you through the floor. 2. If you hit the boss and quickly die before the boss expression changes, it will dissapper upon respawn.
N-Tranced first appeared in N-Tranced 2 so Crash Nitro Kart is after that game. If Nina appeared in CNK then it would cause problems and it's a shame N-Tranced was cut from Twinsanity.
Good question I'll try to give an answer if Nina first appeared in CNK then we would be confused by thinking who is she. Twinsanity introduced Nina and we immediately understood her character and her relation to Cortex. Cutting Nina from CNK is a good/bad thing but interesting if Nina was in CNK. In fact awesome.
You know what, now that I think of it, you are absolutely right. It's much better to introduce a new character in a platforming game because that way the players will have more time and freedom to become accustomed with his/her moves and story. You made a very good and accurate point there, dude.
Online mode :o I seriously don't understand why a remaster of CTR with online play isn't planned (or at least they haven't told us), I think it would be an instant hit.
I think it's probably because Activision would think that this will be the only siginificant new option in the remastered version of the game and it would be a waste of time just for it, which is a total bulls**t if you ask me. But if the original trilogy got upgraded, I guess all we can do is hope for the same with Crash Team Racing.
Interesting opinion, dude. Most of the fans of the Series, including myself, consider Dr. Neo Cortex to be the best villain, and not just because he is the main one. This is the first that I hear someone choosing Emperor Velo XXVII over him.
1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 10. Then... the character of Nina belongs to Traveller's Tales and not to Vicarious Visions although her debut was in Purple (released in 2003) instead Twinsanity (released in 2004), a bit weird xd (yep, that GBA game isn't canon, but anyway it is taken into account). Virtual lobby, retro option, wow, great ideas. As your description indicates, this game has many differences (and very cool) respect to CTR, but there are still some who think it's a cheap copy. But CNK does not have many memorable OSTs, only the main theme and VS Velo, I think (even the GBA version has better music, despite how short they are, except for the Japanese version).
I definitely agree with you on the point with the soundtrack of the game. When I was deciding on which of all the tracks I should use for this video, I couldn't believe how I wasn't able to recognize neither one of them all, except for Inferno Island. This goes to show indeed what a unmemorable soundtrack the game has. At the end, I made up my mind with the themes of Assembly Lane and Hyper Spaceway, as they seem the most suitable to get you hyped up for the video. And by the way, you knew 6 out of the 10 facts. Not bad at all!
Well, we did get the online mode in Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled and we all know how that turned out. And we did get a bonus racetrack that looks exactly like Turbo Track except with old school textures. I guess I could say that we are good.^^
the glitch that allowed me to race velo early. I got that glitch i was unable to do the other gem cups so im going to try not to get the glitch if you help how to not get the glitch
CrashFan95, did you know that Crash Nitro Kart was the last game ever to use the Universal Interactive logo, due to Vivendi merging with Universal Interactive to create Vivendi Universal Games in 2002, which explains why Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure and Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced both uses the Universal Interactive name in the game instead of Vivendi Universal Games
+Jack Smith Yes, I knew about Spyro being playable in the GBA version, but I didn't include it because some other fact took its spot in this list. And yes, I also knew that Crash Nitro Kart is the last game in the Crash Bandicoot Series to be published by then-called label Universal Interactive Studios.
CrashFan95, it's such a shame that Crash TwinSanity, Crash Tag Team Racing and Crash Boom Bang mentions Universal Interactive in the copyright screen, but never uses the logo, I hope one day that Universal Interactive will be revived by NBCUniversal/Comcast (Current owners of Universal Studios) to buy Crash or Spyro back from Activision to continue their franchise with Crash and Spyro returning to the Universal Studios Theme Parks in Hollywood and Florida, California and toys with McDonald's Happy Meal that they did back in 2004
Yeah, N. Trance was cut from Twinsanity. I'm assuming the developers ran out of time and had to end up using the retro tracks in the main game, since A LOT of the tracks feel like remaks from CTR.
+Shadow the UA-camr N. Trance doesn't make a physical apperance in Crash Twinsanity. As RayCarrot said, he was cut from the game and makes an appearance only in the concept art of the game.
+RayCarrot You are right about some of the tracks being something like remakes of the onen in CTR. For example, Inferno Island is a a re-creation of Crash Cove, Jungle Boogie of Papu's Pyramid, Tiny Temple of Tiger Temple, Meteor Gorge of Polar Pass and Blizzard Bluff, Deep Sea Driving of Roo's Tubes, Out of Time of Dingo Canyon, Clockwork Wumpa of Cortex Castle and Thunder Struck of Hot Air Skyway.
Yes, I sincerely apologize for this display of sheer laziness on my part. I should have at least paraphrased these facts a bit. As a person who has studied English Philology, I do not condone such acts of plagiarism. I guess that makes me a bit of a hypocrite.^^
When I manage to make it. I still have got some problems with lags due to the my laptop being a trash, but regardless of that, I will make a video eventually.
Hehe, I never went this far, but I admit that I was having quite the trouble in the beginning, given how different the controls and physics were compared to Crash Team Racing.
4:19 History kinda repeats itself. The upcoming CTR remake has tracks from CNK completely with new layouts. It's kinda funny when you think about.
Definitely! I'm really looking forward to seeing and playing them.
@@CrashFan95 Yeah, especially with better controls and physics.
Damn I wish they had kept the retro option! And the online mode, that would've been awesome!
Me too. Those two features would have taken the game to a whole other level.
yeah it would have.
@@chadwarden1179 CTFNF basically resurrected all of CNK's planned ideas and I love it for that.
