Yeah but also i think like stick to a date so people don't intentionally slack off is good..but being flexible for students with a valid reason is also good and i think to make things somewhat possible for those who do slack give the others a chance with the method of automatically decreasing a grade by a certain amount of points each passing day the assignment is late so they might still get a grade but unless they're insanely confident they will try to do it fast in fear of getting a fail because of the points automatically deducted by it being late

i am actually glad that i have finished it, i can do anything what i want for the rest of week, or i can do my other homeworks i have/need to finish or things i want to do or visit my friends. i love how they gave them/us for a week to finish the assignment for us to find or study the answers in any time we want to do the assignment

I would have. Asking my parents for help was traumatic. My mom didn't really know what to do & my dad yelled at me for not understanding the homework. I'd be teased like why don't I just pay attention and take notes. I did that, but I was still failing. So I ended up lying everyday so my parents never asked me about my homework. I don't get it is this the American school system cuz we get homework everyday and if you don't finish it then you get taken to the principal along with the homework we have weekly tests and if exams are near you have to do tests for each subject everyday and if its finals then we have tests for an entire month everyday for each subject
I remember reading an entire volume of a book for a pop quiz all night (I’m a slow reader) and the next day, not much actually read so we didn’t have the pop quiz.
i find this type of thing an absolute win. 1) i get to finish my long assignment in a day while the rest of my class doesn't is an ego-boost 2) an hour of doing whatever while my classmates work on something i already did (another ego-boost) 3) being the god and sharing my answers to them (another ego-boost)
I was a teacher,when things like this happened in class I just checked the homework of kids who are ready and gave marks.For kids who weren’t ready I gave them time till the next our lesson.Dunno why others don’t check.
That still would not reward kids that actually stuck to the due date. So these kids wind up feeling like they haven t been treated fairly. The other kids got a bonus of extra time to work on it. To be fair the kids that did it on time should get a 10 point bonus on their grade.
Lol our teachers will take points off our exams (which is brutal on the long run so people really try to being their homework on time) or they would give some kind of punishment like write the text 10 times or something like that (wich is a much easier punishment it has no lasting consequences)

Sometimes teachers give red points to students who have done homework, when most of the class hasn't done it. After 5 red points we can get an A, which is nice
Cheat the system, throughout the semester pay a bunch of kids in ur class to not do the homework five times and get those five red points.

I don't get it is this the American school system cuz we get homework everyday and if you don't finish it then you get taken to the principal along with the homework we have weekly tests and if exams are near you have to do tests for each subject everyday and if its finals then we have tests for an entire month everyday for each subject

I was a teacher,when things like this happened in class I just checked the homework of kids who are ready and gave marks.For kids who weren’t ready I gave them time till the next our lesson.Dunno why others don’t check.

That still would not reward kids that actually stuck to the due date. So these kids wind up feeling like they haven t been treated fairly. The other kids got a bonus of extra time to work on it. To be fair the kids that did it on time should get a 10 point bonus on their grade.
But like it’s kinda unfair to give other students more time because some of students may have rushed it then the other students get more tine

Lol our teachers will take points off our exams (which is brutal on the long run so people really try to being their homework on time) or they would give some kind of punishment like write the text 10 times or something like that (wich is a much easier punishment it has no lasting consequences)

Luckily, my teachers back then are either kind enough to tell me that I can still improve the assignment or they just accept the assignment, compliment me and now I have a whole week to rest. Some also don’t give an extension anymore and just lecture the whole class about how we are all teenagers and should be responsible about it already, HAHAHA.
