Alcohol, revealing clothes and atheism are wide spread across Turkey but more visible in urban areas. It's not uncommon to see people crowding bars during the fasting hours in Ranadan. Turkey is progressive and liberal. As an ethnic Jew, I'd like Israel and Turkey to come closer - both forward looking, hip and modern nations.
