Honestly so far this is probably the best trial truck ever. It’s one of the biggest crawlers I have but it’s amazing how it finds traction. Honestly it’s asking abit much for it to go up climbs like this. So what do I compare it to well I have the newer TRX4 Bronco a TRX Chevy High Trail a SCX 10 3 JLU these would probably represent the competition well. The difference between the Bronco & FMS is mostly how they drive they have pretty much the same features but the FMS has dig that could also be turned into rear wheel drive. As far as looks it looks amazing I purchased mine to be a Blazer 100% of the time & I think it looks better with the back on but if you want it to be a truck I’d buy the black it looks better when using it as a truck. I have the classic Orange & white & I think if you want to go 100% Blazer it’s the stand out color combo. I’ve been getting more & more time in on mine & will report back any problems. As far as motor & esc it’s extremely smooth for a stock brushed system but if decide on going brushless you loose some of the other features I know the lights you loose but FMS is coming out with a separate esc so you can use the stock remote. Or you could just put in a good brushed motor like a Holmes Hobbies brushed motor. But as I was saying the Bronco & FMS feel & drive a lot different the TRX with stock electronics is not as smooth on the throttle & definitely jumpier the drag brake is about the same maybe a bit better & on the FMS you have a dial on the remote that controls drag brake strength that right there s pretty cool sometimes you don’t see on the TRX remote. Price wise the FMS is quite abit less expensive but honestly as as my time spent on the two I cannot say 100% the FMS performance is better but as a whole & after looking at the entire package the FMS is a better pick based on price ,performance,looks, & durability. Some of the guys who have many hours on them & have had them since day one testing them have reported very good results. This new FMS platform will definitely be used now as a base for more RC’s so I can’t wait to see what’s next. Oh the body has font & rear clips that hold it on you press the 2 tabs & pull up the rear is a pain so if you clip out some of the rear tab mount it’ll come off easier if not it kind of fights you.
