This Honda CX 500 project came with a story, that makes us realize how far passion and enthusiasm can lead.
This bike is the "Twister", made in Poland by Venna Customs.
Born out of the friendship between Przemek and Andrzej.
It has a very interesting story, that i recommend listen in the video.
It was built with a blend of a classic Cafe Racer, and a Streetfighter.

And to think I used to commute to work and back on one of these every winter (back in the day) while my 'halo bike' languished in the garage, and yet now the 'ugly duckling' reveals itself to be a majestic Swan. Lovely job ;)

Oh man. Yet another beautiful CX500 creation! The two in one exhaust is fantastic! Racer TV. I think this year's best of is going to have to have a separate CX500 category! I think I'm going to have to buy a CX500 very soon before everyone sucks them up and none will be left!

I gotta agree with you about the rear end,its just so nice to look at!
The exhaust fits nicely to the rear as its belong there.
Another thing that make this bike appeal to me is how the owner managed to showcase the mechanicalness of the bike,as the bike appears to be frameless much like the Sacha Lakic's bike that was featured last year.

It is one of those bikes where absolute love and hate meet at the 12 o'clock position and your opinion can change in the space of a second. One moment I love it and the next I hate it.. Basically the Jury is still out for me.. :) Great skill though and a great video as usual. Thanks!

WOW what a great build love the exhaust up under the seat great bump stop seat the exhaust tone is kool would have liked to see twin rear shocks fitted just my option .

The two bikes have very nice details but it is the Honda CX 500 by PopBang Classics that captures my heart, however the GL 400 by Wedge Motorcycle represents the future and bears some resemblance to the Honda CX 500 by Wena Customs for the use Creative of the rear monoshock. The past and the future in a single video is something that our eyes are grateful for

Thanks to several projects based on the old Honda CX 500 seen in this channel, I have come to appreciate a motorcycle with great qualities and potential to be the basis of large projects, as presented today. Indeed I agree that is a new niche located between classic cafe racer and street fighter designs. Impress the clean lines and details that enhance the entire design. I like it a lot. By the way on Monday I start to disarm my bike, to se in detail the state in the perimeter frame and from there, take the decisions on the path that taketh for a personal project with a bike that I love so much and save me a lot in my accident. And I have some ideas, drawings, but only time will tell what results will be, it excites me and certainly I do not give up bikes, I will not allow an irresponsible driver steal me a very important part of my life. My recovery is going very well, I'd say at a rate of 80 percent to put in numbers. Saludos my friend.

It really inspire me in what I intend to do in a bike completly different, such my crash Bajaj Pulsar 200 ns a project that already has a name: Ave Fenix (Phoenix or Feniks in Polski) and an aim, a mix between Cafe Racer and a Street Fighter. I get it. Inspiration can come from many different places. Clearly there is a significant amount of jealousy behind my words, along with some frustration, because I have a day job. As beautiful as some of these machines are, I find more inspiration from a builder that struggles with a limited amount of funds, tools, and general resources. All that against him and he builds a respectable machine. That -vs- someone that chops the bike down to the engine being the only remaining original part; I don't generally see that as inspirational. Artistic, granted.
check out my build if you get inspired by limited funds etc..........bike cost £250 build cost so far £25 in steel plus scraps lying around the workshop, £35 exhaust, £32 polycarbonate for windscreen , £8 wiper motor, £20 plastic MX petrol tank, £10 stainless fire door hinges, £15 Smartphone for speedo !
biggest cost will be fibreglass ....estimate £100,

I like the story,...especially them ending up buying more donor bikes to start a company,...but the bike itself is not my thing, although i do appreciate the quality in the build itself.

I have a 1982 CX500 which is almost ready after the customization - I'm looking for "Thick look" .. Scrambler like but not sure about Size/Brands. I can read there are some people with much better know-how than me and would love to hear recommendations.

A tracção à roda traseira das hondas CX 500, tais como a grande maioria das BMW e Moto Guzzi, são normalmente efectuadas por Eixo-cardã, ou veio. Este tipo de tracção é conhecida por "prender" uns 10% ou 15% da potencia do motor, mas em compensação não exigem grande manutenção, são silenciosas relativamente às correntes, e não sujam as rodas. @@TheJAMTUB I understand your point. The real problem is not only my accent. It is the fact that my voice will sound like a real amateur narration. And considering that 75% of all Racer TV Viewers are non english natives, it would be a mistake to change the robotic voice now. :) Cheers.
whats the recommended rider height?
To be honest, i thing the Honda CX 500 is not the best choice for taller riders(more than 1,80meters). Because the honda CX is shorter than most motorcycles, which means that the Rider will stay more vertical than at long motorcycles.
Racer TV.....Seems to be so much time spent on high-end professional builds. Not exactly in the spirit and tradition of cafe racers. But hey, it's your show. Such is life....Only the people with endless resources and cash get attention.
It's very hard to please everyone. :)
But i have to say that these kind of builds are also very appreciated, because they bring inspirational ideas for most people.
I also recommend you to watch my last 3 videos, because they talk about simple projects built at home, just as you asked.

the cx 500 is a poor motorcycle to create a café racer out of- it isn't light, fast or stylish. I think this build turns the ugly duckling into a great swan of a motorcycle.

I can't deny the quality and amount of work put in that... but the designed is unbalanced, the whole thing seems to be fragile and small. There is no grunt and masculinity, readiness and sense of power, if anything, this looks like a pimped 125cc. I don't think I would ride that.

The build quality is ok. The choice of motor and bike is horrible. The sound of the exhaust gives an indication of what the motor feels like which is tinny and characterless and burning a tyre does not dignify that lack of personality in the motor and bike. The design is out of proportion and appears spindly. The wheels look out of place and indigestible in a design ethic. Overall an amateurish exercise attempting to look professional. I cannot understand why people choose these bikes except maybe because they are cheap and easy to convert.
Well, not bad... in general. Bu ugly wheels, strange, ugly, awful radiator, and the tires are too thin. I'll wait for version 2.0.

I think the radiator looks cool, I'd also like to see what the radiator would look like if it was painted black.
The overall build is very good, but... there is something off.
Please, don't think i am trying to be mean or derogatory. I appreciate the workmanship, just don't like the overall result. :) I am very classic in my tastes. I like air cooled engines and spoked wheels, so you see where i come from. :)
