My process to cleaning a large honey extractor.
Make sure you get all wax and honey free of the inside.
Use cold water first to remove cap wax, then use a mild cleaner (I use LOC Liquid Organic Cleaner, made by Amway.
Here is where I got mine from

About to do a pre clean on a new one. I like this cleaner. I will use Star-San but this looks like a good option as well
As always you do a beautiful job
Thank you 😊
Hello this is my first time seeing a honey extractor so I'm interested I don't know how it works but I'm going to figure it out as I watch it again. Thank you for sharing this wonderful information.
Thank you, Tina for watching. My first time using one. And it worked beautifully!
Yes, I enjoyed and learned, thank you!
Your welcome
I found this interesting. Thank you for sharing
It was nice to get the job done and effeciently. Can’t image how they did it in the old days. That might be an idea for a video.
Great job I thought it would be a lot more work. Gonna have to check out that stuff to clean. Just a dab will do ya. Aww good helpers. Thank you for sharing
I used like a teaspoon but should have used half of that cause it made a lot of foam. Cleans very well and smells nice.
At least, my beeclub has it to loan out to whomever needs to extract. They cost about $100-$200 ea. only use 2 times a year for me.
@@SixAcresFarm you make it all look so easy but I know it’s work. That loc I read can do a lot. I am going to get some and maybe it will help the floor where my dog misses her pee pads. She is 13 1/2 and her eye sight isn’t great. I been using lysol but I do worry about when she smells the floor that the lysol smell might not be good. I am waiting for her diapers to come. Have a great day.
Poor thing. Old age really stinks doesn’t it. Our old bird dog Georgia had cataracts and a hernia but too traumatic to do surgery. She still smells the deer when they are nearby and gets around like she sees well.
How nice that you don’t have to invest in the unit. I should wait to ask you questions because your next video answers them. 😂😂
It’s ok. I don’t mind questions. I had to split up the videos or it would have been too long
Don't you get water in your bearing at the bottom as most are not a sealed bearing? Thank you for the video.
Interesting
Just boiling water nothing else. It just melts all the honey off
Add a bottle of Vodka first rinse
