The grinding in most Digimon games is no joke. They make you really work for every tiny thing, every game. You really need to know what you're doing going in.
@@OmegaChase1002 Maybe I'm a bit late to the conversatiom, but holy shit you're right. I have never grinded in any game the way I did in Digimon World Dawn. Shit felt like office work from 9 to 5 due to how tedious and monotonous the grinding was.
Maybe if you're trying to get everything or raising 3 (as the game may suggest), but if you focusing on just 1 Digimon it's not too bad. I played quite a numbers of Digimon games and I should say DW3 is nothing compared to most if you know what you're doing. I my experience no game has heavier grind than DW2. Goddamn that game is the only game that I couldn't help myself and ever use cheat code for once, just with fast level up.
Kekekeke Bearmon, Monmon and Kotemon all had evolutions based on their weapon. Bearmon evolved into brawlers that used hand to hand based attacks like punches. Kotemon focused on swords and cutting attacks. Monmon focused on ranged weapons like a slingshot, gun and cannons. For a game more similar to a typical RPG, it does make sense and it highlights how Digimon evolutions can focus on theme over visual cohesion.
Also the lack of information back then, nobody knows the condition for each evolution so it either a blind guess or just grind everything to 99 which takes a lot of time.
I remember grinding up Renemon's evolution for my big brother and he'd shared me some extra snacks he bought 😅 truth was I was just happy to play that game as a kid using his save Lmao cuz I was too nervous to play on my own save

@@guidosalvador3629 eh. it has 1 more flaw. the lack of anything like the repel from pokemon. it gets annoying after a while, especially when you have to backtrack to low-level areas for the auction/story.
@@shako4907 I would add about how nightmarish and constant the grinding is in this game. Every new evolution had to level up from 0 to gain abilities, almost every digimon could turn in any other digimon, which while is interesting concerning adaptation, made that you could have three time the same digimon in the team, each having to level up from 0
I don't get how even if say you have 999 strength, if say Omegamon uses his T Sword or Wargreymon his terra force, it still would do less than even his other techs or his normal attack. Why is that?
There are a lot of hidden stat modifiers and things the game does not tell you. At 999 strength Agumon would do less than Greymon ect ect, which is standard, but digimon "class levels" also had an impact. A level 60 BlackWarGreymon "class" will outdamage a fresh Omnimon "class". This makes it so that digivolving actually makes you weaker until you can regrind up. This was an era of games where they expected over 200 hours off a 50 dollar game, so they had to do that to force you to play more... We then have signature moves that go off the wrong attacking stat. Seraphimon is a cleric/mage class digimon, but his special attack is off physical attack. This incentivised you to grind training points to max out the stats of all your digimon so they can use their "classes".
A lot of reasons. Mostly because of digivolution level and elements resistance. And this apply to signature moves too. For example, you already maximized Agumon's attack to 999 but you decided to do Pepper Breath (fire damage) to fire-resistant Mega digimons. That way you are going to have a bad time.
4:54 - Zähler! 😂 German translations at its best man 😂 they probably didn't bother and machine translated the whole thing... There are SO many errors in this game that I didn't even bother turning it into German at some point.
Gute Frage. Aber die deutsche Version des Spiels war eh komisch. Attackennamen sind englisch, aber die Beschreibung deutsch und in den Textboxen werden nicht selten Wörter abgekürzt weil kein Platz in den Textboxen war.

@@MilenAnessar dw2 is the worst digmon game for grind so far 😂 totally agree
One thing that weirded me out back then was Monmon's main digivolution line. From monkey to humanoid to centaur to Dinosaur.

I have a huge respect for those who unlocked all the digivolutions before emulator days. Imagine grinding this shit on a full normal speed man.

I think I spent my whole 5th to 6th grade summer vacations grinding like crazy on this game.
I love the nicknames you gave to your Digimon!
how do you give nicknames? is it something exclusive to n.amer version? I'm in UK.

the dangerous ultimate digimon is galantmon, his special skill is counter attack damage + from his own skill damage to the enemy
Ziemlich geiles Video, vielen Dank. Hast sicher lange gebraucht das so umzusetzen. Welche Ultimativen Attacken sind einer Meinung nach die stärksten?
Even an old ass video game of the PSX has signature moves. Watch and learn, Gamefreak.
So true, at least this game is good unlike new Pokémon games

so I'm guessing Maul Attack (from Grizzlymon) is essentially a counter attack?
This video makes me wanna play DW2 and DW3 again. XD
do it
I play DW1
Angewomon and rosemon ❤️
good job, good video, good names xP
@Alexander G. By the way do you know how to unlock v-mon and gabumon in this game?
Best digimon game, have card battle and fighting
Longstory game, i hope this game will got remake
it felt so futuristic in 2003
The best is Digimon world 1, this gameplay make you wanna go to isekai
I love Digimon! and this game is awsome o wish there where a Digimon game like this on the 3DS
Well, there was... We just never got it. 😓
wht will happen if this can remake ?
They missed the voice overs from World 2
Yeah you're right, it has a lot less playable Digimons so it should be much easier getting all the voices in.
What is the music???

True. Imperialdramon's paladin mode omega blade damages weaker than Black's Tera Destroyer by really far if not dealing with a demon type digimon.
