Wow, I am so happy for you, Anjelique!! Congratulations 🍾🎊🎈
It’s been really hard to get a job in marketing. I just graduated and am working for a small company doing their marketing. They won’t give me a marketing title so I decided to look for another place that I can use my marketing skills. It’s been 5 months and I am struggling. I am regretting getting in so much debt for a degree I can’t even use. I want to stay in the marketing field but it’s just so competitive. I have an interview this Friday and am so excited but my last interview I went to I felt so good about and I didn’t get it so I didn’t want to screw this one up. This video has really helped me out. Thank you so much
Great video, Elif! Agreed with your points. To add, although not specific to marketing, I think a key to any interview is to approach it like a conversation where you (the interviewee) are trying to understand the needs of the company and what value you might be able to provide to help them reach their goals. Similarly, the interviewer has a business need and they're simply trying to find someone that can help them fill that need.

100% agreed. It's so true and I always try to approach it this way - it's also a habit I gained from working with clients during my agency days. Thanks for adding this.
This is pure gold 👑 She gives relevant content at the same time and points out key factors to be considered about with useful examples. Well done lady.

Need a video about marketing audit. Like what u exactly explained finding the process they're (the company) doing, how to analyze it. So that we can curate an compeling audit . And about those general interview question how a fresher straight out of graduation can say
This is a great video. I have been finding that I am getting stuck with the recruiter who doesn't really understand marketing and throws out buzzwords of something when I just discussed the very thing they asked about. It creates awkward scenarios.
Рік тому
The first interviews with the recruiter can feel awkward at times because you are likely using marketing terminology because you want to show off your experience and they are using it from a script (in a way) because they want to hire the right person. I think we should cut them some slack, all they want to do is make a great hire for the marketing team. :)
Currently have an internship interview tomorrow and I’m very nervous for it. I’m trying to prepare answers to possible questions for the interview. Thank you for your content !!!
i graduated in june and i’ve been unemployed for almost a year now. i’ve been applying to internships and jobs like crazy but it was very hard to land an interview. i was so depressed and after being fed up with linkedin and indeed, i tried searching “internship graduate” on twitter and i actually found a company that was looking for a marketing and communications intern. after communicating with the hiring manager and supervisor for awhile, i have an interview for the internship tomorrow 😭 i am so stressed because it will be my second interview EVER but also excited for it cause it is a huge opportunity for me. thank you for this video - it helped eased my nerves a lot. i’ll be back to comment on how it went tomorrow! fingers crossed 🤞🏽

I recently just got hired as a Digital Marketing Manager. It was three interviews long. After the first interview via Zoom they asked me for some design samples. After sending them I followed up. And then I got scheduled for the phone call interview where I was asked more technical things regarding SEO and KPI's. After that, I followed up 3 days later and sent an additional PDF that outlined my "Digital Marketing Process." Then they scheduled me for the third interview in person and I was offered the position then. :) Whew they made me work for it though! Lol

Following up is generally a good idea though. You just have to make sure it doesn't come off pesky. When following up I try to always attach a new design I made or piece of copy I've written as a bonus to stand out.

Hey Elio, thank you for your awesome content, I’ve been learning so much from your videos! Do you think you would be able to make a video talking about different “Digital Marketing Assignments” that were given to you for a job interview? Good topic, will think about it for sure. What was the latest one you got?
My question is what if you genuinely don’t have an answer to some questions? I’m just starting my career, so I don’t feel like I have too many examples of really making a difference, so I wouldn’t know how to answer a “name a time you solved a problem” type questions

But then I also worked in a US based one where there was no diversity at all - i was the only ‘different’ one. just saw it - sorry I wasn't able to attend the live chat today.
So... your question is about the tech stack. You already mentioned you have experience with some. Can you share what you'd like to learn more about marketing tech and tools?
BTW - did you see this video I shared few weeks ago on the topic - maybe it will help to answer some of your q's? ua-cam.com/video/V4VlgVVD_64/v-deo.html
Feel free to share what exactly you'd like to learn more about.
