Been using the 15 pro for a week from the 13 base and it’s insanely better! Love the camera! Wife just got the 15 from 12 pro and she’s more than happy! 15 line up is solid! 👌 I just turn off always on display! Also not keen on the Dynamic Island but you get use to it.
Upgrade from 7 to 15 pro max on 1st December and it has been amazing. I got through 1.5 to 2 days easily without any issues. At the moment my cycle count is 62 with 100% battery health throughout these 3 months of usage.
I have mine since December , I love it. I'm coming from the 12 ProMax. I love the horizontal Face ID!! It's a game changer makes logging in so much better experience. Second type C it's so better. I love the action button too. Congrats🎉🎉

@@cellman1829 I‘ve had it since December as well although I switched from a Nubia RedMagic 5G (released in early 2020) and so far I love it more than I would have loved any other phone although there are a lot of annoyingly simple features / options missing and sometimes also bugs. I often notice these small missed opportunities or bad design throughout the week, but otherwise it’s great and overall probably better than what any android could give me. BTW. I have the natural titanium colour which looks very pretty to me, what colour did you guys choose?
Congratulations! I have the 15 pro max in natural titanium since launch and have been very pleased with it. (I came from the 12 pro max). I was impressed with the optimized battery charging with the option to charge to 80% to save battery health. The 80% gets me through the day with normal use. Hope you enjoy your new purchase as much as I have.
Been using since October 2023 and from Android to IPhone...its the best decision ever. Way less garbage, incredible battery that lasts me 10-12 hours of SOT but...i wish there were more camera options, GPS icon should be in status bar not ho through menu to activate it.
Had 15 Pro Max 512GB since October 1. Battery health was at 100% until the 17.4 Public Betas. Now down to 97% with 174 cycles. Heavy user for work so I expected some drop in that, but the life is just okay compared to my 13 Pro Max. That one was a beast.
I am 98% health and 130 cycles and I see many people with 100% health with same cycles. Any idea how accurate this is? I only charge to 80% I’m very disappointed
Honestly, I'm happy with the 14PM. My partner has the 15PM and I can honestly say: no envy on this side of the kitchen counter. It's easy in my situation to comply with my two-year contract restraints as I wait for the 16PM (or whatever they call it).
Last week I dropped my 15 PM with a significant fall (putting stuff in the fridge with one hand and phone in the other) and it fell and hit two shelves, landed on my shoe screen facing down and picked it up. And there was a good sized dead pixel line from top to bottom on phone. Top part towards dynamic island became unresponsive. Apple care to the rescue same day. Had the blue titanium and switched to natural.
I agree with you. I received a comment when I mentioned that I put a screen protector and clear case on my 15 Pro Max. I am glad that I did! My friend and I both got the blue ones and the difference is easily visible. As far as battery life goes, I do spend time on viewing on UA-cam but I generally have 60-70+ battery life when I go to bed. I do believe that it is lower than my 13 Pro Max was. How ever the videos and photos are far superior.
The iPhone 15 pro max been holding up well for me since got it in December of last yr battery life for me has been great i don't charge my phone till the next day sometime during the day.
It’s my phone I’ve upgraded from the 12 Pro Max! I would’ve stayed with the 12PM til I got the upgrade for Christmas (thanks, dad❤️) but this phone is gonna be long hauler. I’m already a huge fan of the display, battery, noticeably smaller and lighter frame and the better camera with photography and cinematography! I’m happy I received this phone as a gift.
First time ever, I returned my 15 pro max. My battery life was a lot worse than my 2 year old 13 pro max. And it got hot randomly. Especially when on the charger. I didn’t feel confident in the 15 pro max this year. Something was off. Hopefully the 16 line up will be better and it’s a learning lesson.
That's the beauty of ios and iphone. I'm on my s22 ultra right now and onui6/newer android versions really seem to run poorly on it. Definitely looking into iPhone, because I see comments like yours over and over and over. People with older iphones so happy that they don't seem to want to upgrade at all. I'm tired of feeling like an upgrade every 2 or 3 years. 4 or 5 would be great, and seems like iphone does that well.
I have a 14 PM and after a year and a half my only concern is battery health which is currently at 88%, I plan on waiting for the 16 PM to upgrade and I don’t think it’s worth spending that money right now.
I’m going from the 13 mini to the regular 15. Should be arriving today. I know I’ll probably often end up missing the size of the mini but I’m excited for the upgrade.
Hey Aaron! I saw you go into settings>battery, but you can simply hold down on the settings app button and haptic touch will show you a shortcut directly to the battery page!
I’ve had mine since 10/30/23, I always use a clear plastic glove with no screen protector. No scratches yet. I don’t like the new USBC port as every authorized plug I use does fit but seems just loose enough to cause the charge to disconnect while using phone. This happens both at home & in the car (not lint related, I always clean the port). I’m now using the charging pad more & more with a 20 watt plug & it increases charging rate. Still annoyed that in one particular residential area which is close to a tower, I have no internet access for blocks (I turn off WIFI outside because of this & still no reception, could this be Verizon’s fault or do I blame Apple)? Maybe it’s all the home WIFI & security cameras interfering with the signal?Regardless, I love the phone.
I regularly get almost 48 hours of use out of my 15 Pro Max, I also do not use social media a lot either, though I do stream a lot of music and UA-cam when I am on the go and the battery still has stellar performance. I have had my 15 Pro Max since January, it only has 29 cycles on the battery at 100 percent capacity, I also keep the 80 percent charge limit on as well. The AirPods Issue is absolutely a problem, connectivity is horrible along with bad audio switching when they finally do connect. CarPlay is horrible to, I have a 2020 Chevy Equinox which supports CarPlay, and sometimes it is just completely unresponsive and I have to unplug and reconnect to regain functionality through my cars interface. Siri also completely ignores message and phone commands while in CarPlay mode which is extremely frustrating when trying to reply while driving. I truly iOS 18 is as big as they say it is with a focus on basic functions instead of jumping on AI bandwagon.

I use my phone just about the same way you do as well as upgrading every year. I have a black 15 Pro Max. I do travel a lot however I am wearing a heart pump that pumps my blood for me so I travel a lot to doctors appointments and things. I’m also a voiceover user I do have a case I’m just not brave enough. I even have AppleCare plus. 4:32
I’m debating between 15 plus and 15 pro max. Does the 15 plus have the same issue with not being able to get close enough to an object as you demonstrated with the 15 pro max? Does the 2x zooms fix this issue? How do you use micro lens for getting closer to objects? Is the camera quality just as good on the Plus as the Pro Max?
May I ask how do you end up with so much screen idle time? I am usually at 5 minutes idle time for every hour active! I do close my screen with a double tap on the back most of the time.
I mean one possible reason for Apple to not make full use of the Dynamic Island is perhaps their goal to remove it entirely once they figure out how to do it. But I agree, it feels very useless when it could have been so much more.
I see that you don’t seem to have facebook installed, but if you do, have you noticed scrolling micro lags on facebook? My facebook experience is much smoother on my xiaomi phone compared to my 15 pro max and it really bugs me considering my xiaomi is just mid range
Dang, uninstall facebook 😂 But in all seriousness I tried youtube on an S24U and it feels MUCH smoother and faster than on iPhone except for the hold to bring up the menu feature.

You probably need to wipe it and restore from Icloud. I had to do that after bad batter life on 17.2 and 17.3. My battery life has been great since I did that.
I went to a 15PM natural titanium from an 11PM. Will keep it for a long time, for sure. Agree with all you mentioned on the video. I've an AirPods Pro 1st gen that connects to the 15 witho no issues, but it's a pain on the grass with all other Apple devices... Not a heavy user, battery is doing very well since I bought it - December 2023

I love my 15PM. I loved the 12 PM and 13PM too (not the 14PM so much), but the 15PM has probably been my favourite iPhone since the 7+. The camera system is incredible and the reliability (for me at least) has been amazing. My experience with the battery has been pretty good & much better than the 14PM. Great video as usual. I really appreciate the work you put in.
@@yessroddTrue some do it for fun some people have a reason. I changed from 13 pro max cuz to 14 because of always on display and changed from 14 pro max to 15 cuz i needed usb - c . For some these might be minor features to each their own but i have a lot of usb c accessories from my ipad pro and other devices I use regularly so it was worth it to be able to use them with my iphone 15 pro max and 14 PM AOD was useful when working to be able to quickly see my notifications/upcoming tasks/sports score till i finally got an apple watch 9 last month so it depends if someone has the need and can afford it then why not. Before that I used an android for several years since I didn't have the need nor resources to buy any tech I desire though admittedly when I was a teen I would change nokia symbian phones every few months (before iphones were a thing) for fun since my dad would buy them and in hindsight yeah that was defo a waste since their features were similar I was just interested in the various whacky looking nokia symbians
Hi Aaron. My Wife and I looked into buying the iPhone 15 pro max. We also talked to our friends who have that phone. We have decided not to buy the phone 15 due to the poor battery life and several problems still effecting the phone. Hopefully Apple will provide a better product with the coming iPhone 16 Pro Max.. We will continue watching UA-cam videos to fine out later this year. BTW. Our phones are working gears. No Complaints.
Agreed. I bought it and returned after 3 days. The battery and heat was horrible. Portrait mode was incredible and Dynamic Island was cute and fun. But that’s it.
Switched from my 2y old 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max. Battery life is worse on the new phone with the new battery in comparison to a 2y old phone that with 2y old battery that I came from. It makes absolutely no sense. Performance on the new phone is just slightly better, camera sometimes is better and sometimes is worse. The only advantage 15pm has is the USB-C 3.2 port. That's it. I'm disappointed.
Also if you are using your phone like always plugged in you should set it to 80% max capacity. I just checked my batter health and it says 100% with 197 cycles on it. I only ever charge it for 100% if I'm like traveling or something and that happened only a couple of times.
Yes the iPhone 13 Pro Max had the best battery life out all the iPhones I’ve ever used, it seems that Apple is now making batteries of inferior quality, which is very frustrating and disappointing.
Purchased an iPhone SE yesterday as a late birthday gift. So much preference of Touch ID to Face ID, since I wear glasses, and Face ID wasn't always accurate, Touch ID always was accurate. I also have small hands, so the SE feels more natural than any of the lager iPhones do. Still having weird brightness bug even in iOS 17.4 Hopefully iOS 18 and MacOS 15 are stability updates, as iOS 17 and MacIS Sonoma have been pretty bad. Thanks for the video, Aaron, as always.
I have 13 Pro Max with 89% battery health after 17 months. Absolutely the best iPhone apple has ever made. Still rocking easy 12 hours of screen on time, incredible screen quality and everything else is pretty much just the way it was when I bought it. Unfortunately phones these days don’t have much of a difference from previous models so I don’t feel that need to have a new one every or every other year. Will probably wait for iPhone 18 at this point. Hope you have similar experience with older models. 😊
Hi, I did the switch from the 13PM to the 15PM and it was a very pleasant upgrade! Battery seems on par if not slightly slightly better. Not much else vastly different but the camera system is a serious step up. Dynamic Island is very nice and prefer it to the notch. Still, I loved the 13PM!
My 13 Pro Max has amazing battery performance, I’m thinking of upgrading to the 15 Pro Max but I’m seeing a pattern from the comments and other platforms saying the battery isn’t as good as the 13 Pro Max. Now I’m really confused
I've had the 13 PM, 14 PM and now the 15 PM. 13 PM with iOS 15 was (and still is, imo) the best in regards to battery life! The 14 PM was ... ok, only when it got iOS 16.6 or 16.6.1 came somehow close to 13 PM (but still behind). 15 PM is on par with 14 PM (on 16.6), maybe slightly better, but still not as good as 13 PM with iOS 15. And of course: on iOS 17.x the 13 PM or 14 PM are not as good as 15 PM in terms of battery life 🙃
I switched from 11 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max last year! At times i feel its a bit to heavy to carry around but whenever i click photos / shoot videos i always thank myself for going with the Pro Max. The phone itself is lighter but adding a case and magsafe accessories just tip the weight over! I cant do without a case like Aaron! Nice re-fresher video!
i upgraded from iPhone 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max on launch date and I’m really happy with lighter weight, camera 5x zoom is amazing and battery life. But the only downside is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max overheats a lot when editing videos or playing games and sometimes it overheats randomly which is kinda annoying.
Should I trade in to the 15 Pro Max or wait for the 16 Pro Max? Currently have the regular 14 Pro which has 89% battery health after a year, poor battery life, laggy and buggy experience and stuttering scrolling.
I'm surprised to hear about the durability issues especially with the scratches on the display. Battery is amazing on the 15 Pro Max and I am willing to wait for the iPhone 16 Pro Max since it has similar visual updates
I use to hate on this phone, but now I can appreciate all the luxuries this phone brings. Light weight, slightly rounded edges sleek design, battery etc. Everything about this phone is godlike.
I've been in the iOS ecosystem for well over a decade at this point and the 15 Pro Max was my first Pro phone. Genuinely couldn't be happier with it due to the battery life vs the regular 13 that I came from. Am I sold on Pro vs Normal, definitely not, but I do think I will get the bigger version of the phones from here on out strictly due to the extra battery life.
I've had my 15PM since November. Very good experience, no problems. A couple iOS glitches, no showstoppers, and all were fixed in later iOS updates. I have the black one and it looks like new. But I have a screen protector on it and keep it in a case 90% of the time, to protect resale value. So I don't know how well it would hold up for me if I never used a case or screen protector. Aaron, don’t you think, there’s quite many issues that you say: “hopefully this and that will be sorted soon”. We only hope. I think Apple has dropped a quality and thoroughness in checking their phones. Many bugs sit there for some time without being touched. I am, for example very unhappy that whatever I do on my iP 15 Pro, it gets warm immediately.
Yes and no. There are tens of millions of new iPhones every year and with that there will be issues in the thousands at even .1% failure rates. As far as it getting hot that is completely fine as long as it doesn’t say the phone is overheating. Processors produce heat when processing so there will always be some.
They should make iPhones every 2-3 years (like cars do 4-6 years) that would make every generation upgrade significantly different and better. Instead of the same phone for 5 years with minor cosmetic changes and one or two software upgrades every year. I just got my 15 pro max and the 16 is around the corner which makes me feel outdated already

179 cycles on my 15pm and i’m still at 100%. I’ve used 80% Limit since new (October)
80% charge limit will help increase battery health and performance from 500 cycles to 1000 cycles

As always, your videos are honest and unbiased. However, I’m noticing that faceID doesn’t work as expected ( often but not always)

I thought moving to a larger iphone would be a problem, but overall it has not. Overall my impressions have been pretty good.

Battery life is so bad on it. I miss 12 Pro Max and 13 Pro Max battery life. This is no better than my old 14 Pro Max.

I use my phone just about the same way you do as well as upgrading every year. I have a black 15 Pro Max. I do travel a lot however I am wearing a heart pump that pumps my blood for me so I travel a lot to doctors appointments and things. I’m also a voiceover user I do have a case I’m just not brave enough. I even have AppleCare plus. 4:32

I’m debating between 15 plus and 15 pro max. Does the 15 plus have the same issue with not being able to get close enough to an object as you demonstrated with the 15 pro max? Does the 2x zooms fix this issue? How do you use micro lens for getting closer to objects? Is the camera quality just as good on the Plus as the Pro Max?

May I ask how do you end up with so much screen idle time? I am usually at 5 minutes idle time for every hour active! I do close my screen with a double tap on the back most of the time.

I mean one possible reason for Apple to not make full use of the Dynamic Island is perhaps their goal to remove it entirely once they figure out how to do it. But I agree, it feels very useless when it could have been so much more.

I see that you don’t seem to have facebook installed, but if you do, have you noticed scrolling micro lags on facebook? My facebook experience is much smoother on my xiaomi phone compared to my 15 pro max and it really bugs me considering my xiaomi is just mid range
Dang, uninstall facebook 😂 But in all seriousness I tried youtube on an S24U and it feels MUCH smoother and faster than on iPhone except for the hold to bring up the menu feature.

@@turkicaz5505 that’s true. I don’t consider the iPhone to be the smoothest anymore. Flagship android phones are smoother. The only thing the iPhone is best at is with video recording and it makes me sad haha

My 15 PM Battery is bad since 17.4 update. I need to charge it twice a day now. Super sad about that.
You probably need to wipe it and restore from Icloud. I had to do that after bad batter life on 17.2 and 17.3. My battery life has been great since I did that.

I went to a 15PM natural titanium from an 11PM. Will keep it for a long time, for sure. Agree with all you mentioned on the video. I've an AirPods Pro 1st gen that connects to the 15 witho no issues, but it's a pain on the grass with all other Apple devices... Not a heavy user, battery is doing very well since I bought it - December 2023

I love my 15PM. I loved the 12 PM and 13PM too (not the 14PM so much), but the 15PM has probably been my favourite iPhone since the 7+. The camera system is incredible and the reliability (for me at least) has been amazing. My experience with the battery has been pretty good & much better than the 14PM.

@@yessroddTrue some do it for fun some people have a reason. I changed from 13 pro max cuz to 14 because of always on display and changed from 14 pro max to 15 cuz i needed usb - c . For some these might be minor features to each their own but i have a lot of usb c accessories from my ipad pro and other devices I use regularly so it was worth it to be able to use them with my iphone 15 pro max and 14 PM AOD was useful when working to be able to quickly see my notifications/upcoming tasks/sports score till i finally got an apple watch 9 last month so it depends if someone has the need and can afford it then why not. Before that I used an android for several years since I didn't have the need nor resources to buy any tech I desire though admittedly when I was a teen I would change nokia symbian phones every few months (before iphones were a thing) for fun since my dad would buy them and in hindsight yeah that was defo a waste since their features were similar I was just interested in the various whacky looking nokia symbians

Hi Aaron. My Wife and I looked into buying the iPhone 15 pro max. We also talked to our friends who have that phone. We have decided not to buy the phone 15 due to the poor battery life and several problems still effecting the phone. Hopefully Apple will provide a better product with the coming iPhone 16 Pro Max.. We will continue watching UA-cam videos to fine out later this year. BTW. Our phones are working gears. No Complaints.

Agreed. I bought it and returned after 3 days. The battery and heat was horrible. Portrait mode was incredible and Dynamic Island was cute and fun. But that’s it.

Wow, I must be one of the few lucky ones. My iPhone 15 pro max has great battery life.
Switched from my 2y old 13 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max.
Battery life is worse on the new phone with the new battery in comparison to a 2y old phone that with 2y old battery that I came from.
It makes absolutely no sense.
Performance on the new phone is just slightly better, camera sometimes is better and sometimes is worse.
The only advantage 15pm has is the USB-C 3.2 port. That's it. I'm disappointed.
I mean you have AOD, it’s gonna drain more than your 13 Pro Max. My 15 Pro Max still beats all of the Android phones that currently and have owned.

Also if you are using your phone like always plugged in you should set it to 80% max capacity. I just checked my batter health and it says 100% with 197 cycles on it.
I only ever charge it for 100% if I'm like traveling or something and that happened only a couple of times.
I have the regular 15 for 2 months and I love it and I have had the Apple Watch ultra 2 almost a month now
Yes the iPhone 13 Pro Max had the best battery life out all the iPhones I’ve ever used, it seems that Apple is now making batteries of inferior quality, which is very frustrating and disappointing.
Purchased an iPhone SE yesterday as a late birthday gift.
So much preference of Touch ID to Face ID, since I wear glasses, and Face ID wasn't always accurate, Touch ID always was accurate.
I also have small hands, so the SE feels more natural than any of the lager iPhones do.
Still having weird brightness bug even in iOS 17.4
Hopefully iOS 18 and MacOS 15 are stability updates, as iOS 17 and MacIS Sonoma have been pretty bad.

I have 13 Pro Max with 89% battery health after 17 months. Absolutely the best iPhone apple has ever made. Still rocking easy 12 hours of screen on time, incredible screen quality and everything else is pretty much just the way it was when I bought it.
Unfortunately phones these days don’t have much of a difference from previous models so I don’t feel that need to have a new one every or every other year.
Will probably wait for iPhone 18 at this point. Hope you have similar experience with older models. 😊
Hi, I did the switch from the 13PM to the 15PM and it was a very pleasant upgrade! Battery seems on par if not slightly slightly better. Not much else vastly different but the camera system is a serious step up. Dynamic Island is very nice and prefer it to the notch. Still, I loved the 13PM!

My 13 Pro Max has amazing battery performance, I’m thinking of upgrading to the 15 Pro Max but I’m seeing a pattern from the comments and other platforms saying the battery isn’t as good as the 13 Pro Max. Now I’m really confused
I've had the 13 PM, 14 PM and now the 15 PM. 13 PM with iOS 15 was (and still is, imo) the best in regards to battery life! The 14 PM was ... ok, only when it got iOS 16.6 or 16.6.1 came somehow close to 13 PM (but still behind). 15 PM is on par with 14 PM (on 16.6), maybe slightly better, but still not as good as 13 PM with iOS 15. And of course: on iOS 17.x the 13 PM or 14 PM are not as good as 15 PM in terms of battery life 🙃

I switched from 11 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max last year! At times i feel its a bit to heavy to carry around but whenever i click photos / shoot videos i always thank myself for going with the Pro Max. The phone itself is lighter but adding a case and magsafe accessories just tip the weight over! I cant do without a case like Aaron! Nice re-fresher video!

Fav phone ever. Still an absolute delight to hold in the hand and ive got zero scratches anywhere after 6 months of no case or screen protector.

i upgraded from iPhone 14 Pro Max to 15 Pro Max on launch date and I’m really happy with lighter weight, camera 5x zoom is amazing and battery life.
But the only downside is that the iPhone 15 Pro Max overheats a lot when editing videos or playing games and sometimes it overheats randomly which is kinda annoying.
I can't really tell the weight difference when I put my phone case on in my Magbak wallet.

I'm surprised to hear about the durability issues especially with the scratches on the display. Battery is amazing on the 15 Pro Max and I am willing to wait for the iPhone 16 Pro Max since it has similar visual updates
I use to hate on this phone, but now I can appreciate all the luxuries this phone brings. Light weight, slightly rounded edges sleek design, battery etc. Everything about this phone is godlike.
I've been in the iOS ecosystem for well over a decade at this point and the 15 Pro Max was my first Pro phone. Genuinely couldn't be happier with it due to the battery life vs the regular 13 that I came from. Am I sold on Pro vs Normal, definitely not, but I do think I will get the bigger version of the phones from here on out strictly due to the extra battery life.

I've had my 15PM since November. Very good experience, no problems. A couple iOS glitches, no showstoppers, and all were fixed in later iOS updates.
I have the black one and it looks like new. But I have a screen protector on it and keep it in a case 90% of the time, to protect resale value. So I don't know how well it would hold up for me if I never used a case or screen protector.

Aaron, don’t you think, there’s quite many issues that you say: “hopefully this and that will be sorted soon”. We only hope. I think Apple has dropped a quality and thoroughness in checking their phones. Many bugs sit there for some time without being touched. I am, for example very unhappy that whatever I do on my iP 15 Pro, it gets warm immediately.
Yes and no. There are tens of millions of new iPhones every year and with that there will be issues in the thousands at even .1% failure rates. As far as it getting hot that is completely fine as long as it doesn’t say the phone is overheating. Processors produce heat when processing so there will always be some.
They should make iPhones every 2-3 years (like cars do 4-6 years) that would make every generation upgrade significantly different and better. Instead of the same phone for 5 years with minor cosmetic changes and one or two software upgrades every year. I just got my 15 pro max and the 16 is around the corner which makes me feel outdated already
