Oi bom dia!
Nice little tool to add to my marking collection. I think if you made the smaller nails removeable and drilled a hole in the center that could accept a pencil or another nail it could also work as a center finder.
shouldn't the outer holes be offset to the outside of the layout marks? You used relatively small diameter pins, so the difference is likely negligible, but I've seen people make these with dowels, in which case the error would be big
I THINK YOU ARE INCORRECT IN THE PLACEMENT OF YOR OUTTER GUIDE DOWELS. I'M JUST GUESSING BUT I THINK THE INNER FACE OF THE DOWELS SHOULD BE IN LINE WITH THE YOU CENTER LINE MARKS OTHER WISE DIFFERENT DIAMETER DOWELS WOULD RENDER SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT RESULTS.
Can you please make videos on string-rope clamping verses wedge and string-wedge clamping and best applications for each for regular type and outside-the-norm projects...??
Saudade dessa família 😪
Olá a Joice sumiu 😭😭😭
Ela está bem?
Espero que sim amamos ela saudades sinceras bjs
thanks for the simple to follow tutorial! just made one from a scrap and took no time at all :)
Very nice. Love things that work by ratio.

Saudades dos vídeos dela ❤️❤️❤️
Estamos bem!!
Fantastic jig. Octaginal handles are very comfortable. Also, glad to see someone besides me keeps a pencil for as long as possible.
Thanks! Yeah, I take it all the way down to a nub!

Thanks for the video. I need to make a couple of spars for a small boat I am building. Great timing for me.
Glad to hear! Best of luck on the boat build. You going to document it?
@@TheHandToolery I will be documenting with my iphone, but I don’t have the video making & editing skills to put them on UA-cam.
Cool! Well, hope it goes great!
Great little shop tool. Thank you.
Thanks! I’ve used it a lot already!
Thanks for the very clear explanation.
Thanks for watching!!
Thank you !
Very cool. I don’t think I’ll ever use it for octagons but It would be handy as a mortise gauge for bench legs
It could be if you want a proportional tenon located on center.
Your bench is so smooth ! I won’t show you mine ;)
Ha! I recently flattened it. But I generally take good care of mine.
excelente !!!!
saludos desde Argentina
Gracias!!
Pretty interesting idea, Andrew! I loved it! 😃
Thanks a lot!!!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks! I was surprised to find little information on this before when I needed one.

Lova your channel
Very cool👍👍👍
Thank you!
Brilliant ! So much easier for making octogonal legs . I would
Make 2 jigs for tapered legs ?
Soo easy for sure! And this does tapered legs no problem! Just keep both sides in contact as you gauge the lines.

I’m definitely not the one to give you the best information on this. But I have seen luthiers use string to clamp their instruments.
Thanks
