I do believed we need more of this, at least 300/600 units, up graded and modified into an AFV's, IFV's, at least armed with CIWS, or MLRS system , equipped with RCW's plus ASM, and SAM systems, with 40 mm. To 76 mm. To 105 mm. Turret cannons with RCW's, integrated with SAM, and ASM system, for anti-Tanks / Aircraft /Drones. And let's get rid of our older AFV's and IFV's, like the Simba, and Commandos, those are obselete war Machines needed to be parked in a museum....and acquire more Guaranni and Pandur-2
I do agree that other APCs the Philippine Army has like the V-150s, which some units are still with the Philippine Army should already be retired and transfer to the PNP service, particularly with Saf, since their unit could possibly take over as the country's security force in combating the remnants of the local insurgency needs. The AFP will be focusing more on external defense needs and the Philippine National Police particularly the Special Action Force will need more armor vehicles and they already home some units of V-150s and more of this will be needed. Thanks for commenting.
True, that an option 2, turn it over to SAF and the CAFGU... That `s a better move... For internal security reasons, while The Phil. Army and the Phil. Marines will take care our external and territorial threats.... And using the most advance and modern, plus brand new weapon systems....
The PMC should get the Arisgator to augment its amphibious units. Also should get some Scimitar CVRt’s the British is retiring, that way they can have an armored vehicle for reconnaissance and meets weight requirements for the infrastructure and stay with the M113’s.
We believe that the Guarani should be with the PMC and not with the Philippine Army since the Guarani is amphibious and vehicles the PMC should have should be amphibious and can be deployed from the Navys Tarlac Class Lpd. AAVs are good but we should take into consideration the procurements the United States Marine Corps has, they are acquiring SuperAV 8x8 amphibious vehicles which are also from VTB Iveco, the same manufacturer of the Guarani APC. Unfortunately for the PMC, they are always on the last line of the acquisition list since they are not a separate AFP branch and are under the jurisdiction of the Philippine Navy. Thanks for commenting.
We hope that some of this M113s could be upgraded to house anti-tank missile system including Spike and Tow missile system that the AFP already have, and it's quite possible this will be included in the revised horizon 3 list, M113 is a flexible platform that they can be converted to different use from APC, Fire Support Vehicle, Ambulance, Air Defense and Anti-Tank conversion.

@@johnpaolobas1036 until now, Wala pang na release na Saro ang DBM for Mrf Acquisition, by this time there is already less than 3 Billion pesos remaining sa 2024 AFP Modernization fund, but, if we add Yung 10 Billion na un programmed funds para sa AFP Modernization, the amount will be at 13 Billion Pesos, the Mrf Acquisition need at least 9.5 Billion Pesos or 15 percent as Downpayment and that 13 Billion Pesos is still within that amount. Very flexible ang mga M113, it's has many variations kaya until now madaming bansa pa din Ang Gumagamit ng M113, yes, this type of vehicles are used in counter insurgency, to deliver troops safely in the field, to their staging grounds, fighting insurgents means using any hardware you have that is suitable in the field, if your a commander with a reasonable thinking, can you send M113 on jungles? But also you must consider the possibility, that those rebels will attempt to go in towns and armored vehicles will play a part in stopping their maneuvers. Deploying military assets meant using them in an area that is suitable for them. Thanks for commenting.
We believe the old FNSS turrets with machine gun cupola were already transferred to other M113s, as the FNSS ACV-15 that has these turrets before are already upgraded to house the new one man turret system with 12.7mm gun and 40mm grenade launcher.
Continue the great work idol

Magandang platform for SAM at ATGM
Kelan kaya maiisipan lagyan ng Spike ATGM?
