I know it may feel like expectations are high especially since you share so much and have so many people rooting for you but it's totally okay to fall back sometimes and figure it all out! What I need you to know is that most who go into medical assistant training, have to go through vigorous classes for additional year to 18 months, and then depending on the state guidelines, have to be certified with the state as medical assistant. Sometimes depending if you are a medical assistant that has to have so many sticks ( in terms of phlebotomy/specializations) or if you are a medical assistant with an admin focus. And you literally were able to go into a medical assistant position and a clinic without all of those pieces/hurdles. You have done well.
It will get better. It's all seed!! GOD USES EVERYTHING!!!

Literally the moment you started explaining the plans you had and how it didnt come through was when I started laughing and then crying because that is my exact situation :(.
this video hit so close to home...from leaving a job that I was so miserable at to the constant stress from interviews, and especially what you said about not knowing what is worse...working somewhere you don't want to or doing nothing at all. It can all make you feel so small. But I love how positive you remain and how confident you are about your future. I can't wait to watch your journey to becoming a GYN doctor! You're inspiring!

I’m a clinical research coordinator and I think you will love it! You still get some patient interaction and get to learn a lot about what goes on on the background prior to medications/procedures being approved.

The way I've been binging your videos, girlllll! You were preaching to the choir at the start of this vlog. I was a biology major because I thought I was supposed to do that... I looked into working as an EMT because I thought I was supposed to. But I am taking control of my journey instead of just being a bystander.

the feeling of doubt, stuck, and hopeless, because nothing is moving the way you want, is soooooo relevant! I am too trying to move on with the degree I want, but the only opposite of us is that I already got my MA cert this year and am having a hard time getting an MA job. I have a second interview tomorrow, and despite the distance, they are willing to pay double what I currently work. so we shall see.

I had a terrible experience and went back to school as a phlebotomist now I'm double certified. And got a new job as an M.A but I low key love phlebotomy

I'm from the DMV area too! I currently just graduated from WSSU and on the PA track. I've been having a hard time finding a job in the medical field all over. So I just enrolled in a MA program to get my MA certs and hopefully that will be start of helping get where I need to be.
I’m from the DMV too! (MD) I’m also looking into jobs in the medical field because I’ve been at my current job for a little over 4 years now and I’m also interested in becoming an MA as well, can I ask what program you are taking and what tips and tricks I can use to find the right one?
@@veraobeng2637 Hey Vera, I currently enrolled into the community college near me that had a MA program and its for like three months. I would say start off by looking at your community colleges first because they might have aid that would actually pay for you to take the class.
@@monnikwilliams5708 thank you so much! I’ve been actually looking at community colleges in my area. However one that I went to said they only offer classes out of pocket but I’ll definitely look into look for classes that offer aid like you said. I also found an online course through a website (U.S career institute) that is self paced and it’s accredited. I’ll take a look into that as well :)

Ive been wracking my brain trying to figure out what I should do to supplement my income and I thought about doing MA. But as im going through the program I find nyself becoming more and more drained and unhappy. Im just afraid of facing the void of uncertainty :(.

As a medical assistant do you need to calculate medical dosages? I’m currently taking medical math and I’m finding it quite difficult as I’m teaching myself.

I feel like we are in similar places in life, i just graduated college, and thought my first job, i would atleast see a small increase in my pay, but its actually a pay cut. They are paying for me to get my masters so its a good opportunity, just not the trajectory i thought i would follow. But i cant stay in my deadend job forever, its sink or swim time. Which is scary!
Very scary! But congrats on getting the opportunity to have them pay for your masters! Use that opportunity then make a run for it lol
