Good morning, I left my Koleos 1 2.0 dci automatic gearbox this week at the garage to change the crankshaft seal on the flywheel side. I picked up my car today, I did 50km on the highway without any problem, it went through all the gears and was flexible, and when I arrived in town, my box started to have trouble shifting into first gear, then at one point it got stuck in 3rd gear. When I switched to manual, it remained in D. Finally, a message "regulator to check" appears. By restarting the car, it's ok for a few minutes then it starts again. I went back to the garage, we did a diagnosis and when we accelerate, the turbine speed is at 0 when we accelerate, and this blocks the gear change, we have to restart the car. Here are the diagnostic errors: - P01717: turbine speed sensor circuit (active) - P1525: consistency of multiplexed information for cruise control, the information is not compliant (active) - P074491: torque converter clutch ev function, converter lockout control (memory). Do you know where this could come from please?
@@GaryFerraro Good morning, This is the Renault Koleos 1, year 2015 with 155,000 km. It has an automatic gearbox, and this car has many common parts with the Nissan Xtrail and Nissan Qashqai (Aj0 gearbox from Jatco, with torque converter)
@@GaryFerraro I have a torque converter transmission. When I plugged in the clip, sometimes the turbine speed is 0rpm while driving, sometimes it's normal. Is it a speed sensor problem?
Just stumbled across this video I was wondering if you had an idea about mine. I just rebuilt the engine and it doesn’t go past 3000 rpm when I drive and doesn’t go passed 60 what do you think I should check first?
Gary, I have a 2007 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4. I replaced the speed sensor on the transfer case. I was getting that code along with hard shifts. Trans is rebuilt with 38k miles on it. I haven't driven it for more than 5 miles after seeing this code. Do you think it's the ground issue? Also sensor was in the transfer case. Did I change out the right sensor? Or am I supposed to fix the ground only, the one in my transmission? Where would it be located at if I did the ground wire fix?
hello. Could you please explain how we get turbine reading with the vehicle in Park? I read somewhere that the input shaft is connected to the clutch. (inside of the transmission). I would think it would read when the vehicle is in gear.
The input shaft is turning because nothing is applied in park and neutral. When you put the car in drive with your foot on the brake the reading will go to zero because the drum stopped turning because the clutch is applied, as you start driving and the drum starts turning the reading will come back
Hello, Sir. I am dealing with a p1715 on a 2004 nissan murano I/P PULLY SPD. I see that the I?P PULLY pid is 38 mph with key on and idling. I believe it is supposed to be close to the tach. Should I replace the input steed sensor after confirming wiring integrity?
@@GaryFerraro I think it's rpm because when driven, it was almost equal to engine speed. The MPH I saw was pids from vehicle speed sensors. One was 0 mph with the truck idling and the other 18mph. i expected both to be MPH since the truck wasn't driven.

very big thanks gary for all your videos i am strugling with toyota u250e that keeps burning the overdrive clutch do you know what causing that is there a problem with the valve body
valve bodies do have issues, with stuck valves, a big problem with these transmissions are the solenoids, i always change the SL1, SL2 SL3 and the SLT (pressure control) solenoids, if these are mechanically bad, they drag the clutch and burn it out, you should also reset shift adapts
Gary Ferraro gary when i opended the trans from the back cover i found the top sealing ring inside the drum where the back cover sleve goes the back cover sleve where the top sealing ring was worn out
Excellent video I help me have cruze automatico 2011, 6t45-40 cod P0717 input speed sensor low circuit, what's the problem please. Greetings from tulua Colombia
With that code, the Tcm/ valvebody probably is the problem. Look at the fluid make sure no water is in the trans, the radiators like to go bad, if that is the case, the trans should be rebuilt
@@GaryFerraro my fluid still red plus i recently make a radiator swap for a all aluminum cfs one because i was aware of that coolant problem. If i replace the tcm should i still put new fluid on?
2010 Cobalt, I notice my ISS value is not present often on a cold start. Is this normal? I have to rev the engine high to read and if I put the car in gear the value goes to 0 (normal) but when back in park will not reappear. If I drive the car and the value suddenly appears it locks up the PC duty cycle value and transmission shifts hard based on value it froze at. If sufficiently warmed up I can reset ignition and value appears OK after start and car drives well. Usually drives OK for the remaining part of the day even hours later. Any idea?
@@GaryFerraro Yes 4T45E. So right from cold, I should see an ISS reading right after start? Have you or anyone confirmed this? It's crazy after the transmission or transmission has "warmed" slightly it works perfectly after a reset.
@@GaryFerraro as you know I ended up changing the speed sensor and got a surprise while testing the harness from outside the tranny after it was put back together. The code was being tripped and in no way I could shake the behavior as before when warmed up. I found one leg was shorted so what I did is cut the wiring from the sensor and placed an audio isolation transformer in between. That was two months ago, never shifted better and no code!
Hard to find honest mechanics like this
