Isn't there a way for someone to insert the feeding tube directly without the surgical aspect of this? I know my training is extremely old and I was trained to put it directly in the stomach for the runt's that the mother had abandoned and living now where Vet hospital ERs are 4 hours away I'd like the information to take care of an animal myself until it's stable and my Vet is back in the office! Not everyone is trained in the basics like this and it's the farthest thing that they would do and as the older Vet's retire some of the wisdom goes with them
