thank you sir you're a great help for my acca studies just one thing i didn't quite get in the explanation of planning and operational variance for labour in the first part where you are calculating labour rate planning variance you took standard rate per hour as $16 but that was for 2units and revised rate per unit you took $15 but that was of per unit. My point here is that if you are taking Standard Rate as $16 for 2 units you might as well want to take Revised Rate for 2 units as well. If possible please explain this sir, would be a great help. Actualky we are talking about rate per hour

its pretty confusing at first but if you look at it again, $8 for 1 unit (std) & $15 for 1 hour (rr). Since for std 0.5 hr=1unit; 8*2= $16 for 1hr. $16=2unit. So now got comparable variance 15 and 16 as both is hourly rate
