    Hey mate, love your vids. Would really like them to be a bit longer with more detail. i.e. You said you had a few more bits and pieces but didn't show them which I would like to see. Things like firing it, settings monitoring, etc.
    cheers mate.

    Hey mate, thx for all the vids you've put up! I was wondering if you wire'd your aircon to your battery system and did it work well?

    Nice setup, just one thing, get rid of the auto reset fuse. If there is a problem you won’t see it because it will reset constantly. That’s how fires can start. Cheers

    Hey Nick, came across your channel only last week and the Mrs and I are hooked. Out of curiosity, why did you choose the itech 100ah over the 120x?

    • @elnick.adventures
      @elnick.adventures  2 роки тому +2

      Hey Robert glad you like the channel. they had a sale on the 100 ah and at the time there was a lead time on the 120 plus We were being cheap hahah 👍 thanks for watching 🤠

      @@elnick.adventures thanks for the quick reply. The reason I was asking is because I need to upgrade from AGM batteries and was looking at the Itech myself. If I go 2@120x, how much solar would you say is sufficient to stay off grid 4-5 days? My van is small (1@ 40ltr fridge, 1@20ltr draw fridge). Other than that, I have 2 sirroco fans and a TV. I was thinking 400w of solar.

    Hi There, it would be great to have a buy list of items you purchased. Also can the system handle Itech 125 batteries? As I can’t find the 100 ones
    Cheers in advance - Regards Carl

      Hi here is our buy list and where we got them from and yes it can handle the 125 amp batteries👍
      - batteries itech world 100ah or 125ah
      - ac charger is a enerdrive 40 amp hour multi stage charger bought from mygenerator
      - dcdc charger is a 40 amp hour multi stage charger bought from mygenerator
      - battery monitor is from itech as well and is the only one they make.
      - all the wire and connections were purchased from jaycar.
      The batteries and chargers were bought online due to covid and delivered to our door.
      Online stores- itech and mygenerator just google search them and they will come up.
      Cheers hopes this helps!

      They actually came with the van but I’m pretty sure supercheap and places like that sell similar ones. Thanks for watching 👍

    Hi Chief, why did you change all that when you may have just changed to lithium batts? I get you wanted more ah in (30-40), but why all the extra expense and hardware? Cheers, dd

      Hey Dave we weren’t sure if we would keep the i tech batteries as originally we were going to put enerdrive battery in. Also I didn’t think the projector charger worked well on solar. And we already had a enerdrive charger in the car that we were impressed with. Also I like the digital display on the enerdrive charger. Thanks for watching 👍

    Did you change the solar regulator

    • @elnick.adventures
      @elnick.adventures  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Mike
      The enerdrive dc dc charger that we installed has a regulator built into it. So no need for a seperate one. Thanks for watching 👍

    The only problem with the green stuff is, it won’t solar charge and dc / dc charge at the same time. So you won’t get the maximum energy.

      Hi Jorji, thanks for watching 👍 yeah we knew this when we put it in but we only travel very short periods so doesn’t worry us at the moment 🤠 thanks for the comment 💪
