I doubt it being first year. It might be the first year after technical cut. It means it is the second year. Paulownia can't grow more than two meters the year it germinated from seed. Correct me if i am wrong
@@mahdabekaessam738 so sorry to hear that. nevertheless i´m happy to tell you that since my question i've been planted and succesfully (so far, at least) growing paulownia in that 43% clay heavy soil. i´ve done the coppicing in spring last year, since then they haw grown 3 mts (it´s summer now in argentina)
Years ago, I planted a paulownia in my backyard. It grew amazingly fast and provided cover for my collection of plants in pots. Some of the leaves were more than 3 feet across. It created a lot of biomass fast. I cut it out when it started sending up suckers more than 40 feet away, I had a few years of grubbing out suckers all over the place. For an isolated place, with plenty of water, it creates fast biomass or fast cattle feed. Not in a garden setting. Another use may be treated timber, but I think it would require about 5 years to make usable timber.
@@kemalgogic595 no, no harm to other plants that I could detect, to me it’s advantage was the shade it provided, sort of a natural shade house for tender pot plants. My brother planted them in masses and was really surprised how livestock and deer loved the plant, even quite advanced trunk/branches were eaten if allowed. He ended up planting “lots” that he fenced and watered and cut feed from, sort of like pollarding.
@@anthonyburke5656 I have just planted 6 of paulownia trees in the part where my forest 'brakes' apart. So I can fill the hole, that's why I asked if it will do any harm. The forest is surrounded by 2 creeks, so the ground holds plenty of water, even though it is very solid ground.
why do you have the black plastic on the ground? what does that do ? warm the soil or save water? how often do you water the tree? do you fertilize the tree? what kind of soil do you have(clay, sandy, regular)? my empress tree is growing slowly and I am trying to figure out why.
Well you should read on the net what it says, from my own experience the plastic on the ground should preserve the moisture for the seeds to grow better. The tree should at the beginning be watered every day, then after some months 2-3 times per week depends if it rains or not. I don't know anything about the fertilization of a tree, the soil should be more sandy. If the leaves turn yellow it means there is too much water and not too less.
@@rollerbladinggeek5507 I am re-planting more than a hundred acres of loblolly pine in Alabama. There is much low spots on the property that stays wet even in a dry summer. Beaver are a problem. Thinking about planting sycamore on some low spots. Does the tree in this video have hard enough bark and wood to discourage beaver like ash and sycamore and hackberry?
خدا شما را اجر بدهد من این نبات را در خانه دارم و هر وقت مثلی گیاهی هرزه آنها را دور میکنم و خیلی بته های مقاوم و ریشه سخت دارند

I live in Arkansas, and my paulownia is blooming in October.
In Europe, Paulownia flowers in April. You are welcome to send us pictures, that's interesting.
After cutting of course
Does anyone know where one of these is growing in Brisbane? I want to source some free seeds.

usually means too little water. You can fertilise it with miracle gro every week along with 20 litres of water.
they can suck up any amount of water u throw at them. That's what the empress tree is good at. That's partly why it can grow so fast.
the more water it gets the faster it grows
