It's not like the problem is mutually exclusive. Getting rid of plastic bags would still be warranted even if homeless camps didn't exist. But we want to solve that problem too, NOW. We have a systemic problem. Rural areas a littered with meth labs. We have a systemic problem.
I am 70, I grew up in Denver. When I was a kid, I could walk up to N. Larimer St., where there would be what we called bums, but it never stopped us because it was not really unsafe. I would go with a friend and we would be able to walk around pretty much anywhere. Today I’m afraid to walk around downtown at all. Especially crossing from one main street to another. We used to go downtown to restaurants frequently. We seldom go downtown anymore. it’s too bad because we always like to support good restaurants. They need help these days. But it’s not worth the risk. Denver has to wake up and elect people with a different perspective on these problems. My father always said what you permit you promote. Nothing is more true with this homeless situation than that..
Beyond Larimer behind union station and east was largely abandoned scary af. Lol We explored the buildings kinda fun & freaky. All gentrified now Denver seems dead though. Nobody down there I’d want to hang with.
NATIVE here. Like Oregon and Washington, Colorado got Californiacated.they are getting to Texas and Arizona now. Spreads like a parasitic virus and really too bad.
Denver used to be a wonderful city... full of people who enjoyed and protected our natural beauty. I was there for 30 years, and watched it slowly turn in to the dirty, dangerous hell hole that all "socialist utopias" become. When we saw tent cities popping up along Santa Fe road, we knew it was time to leave.
I usually get a jury summons from Denver once every two or three years,, Next time I get one I’m going to call them and tell them I’m not coming in, I don’t feel safe going into downtown Denver.
I live about an hour outside of Denver, and I do everything in my power to stay far far away from it. I even hate driving through on the highway, it's awful. Denver is an absolute sh*thole, and it's going the way of California and Oregon. Down the toilet and into a woke authoritarian nightmare. I can't wait to find a new home in a nice red state. Colorado is a beautiful state, but I believe it's politics are destroying it.
I was born here in 1963 Colorado has always been a conservative state, though riots and earthquakes in California all those liberals and all their problems they brought it to Colorado Colorado was just turning into California and most of the natives have left Colorado a blue state. Growing up here, I didn’t know what racism was. I have family members that are black. I have friends that are Mexican. There was no controversy the only part of Denver you ever had to worry about was five points and it did not matter who you were black or white so everybody just pretty much stayed clear of five points after hours Lower downtown before all the bars, nightclubs and micro breweries it used to be an industrial area. It was a really good place to go shopping and find things at good prices. 61 years later, I do not recognize Colorado as my original hometown I want to thank you Democrats for destroying my hometown .
I LOVE HER!!! my name is davis elkins and i have been tending to the streets sweeping up after my homeless brothers and sisters since 2015 and ive seen everything that she is saying first hand. tent after tent after tent ive swept . if ur local then uve probobly seen me sweeping up on stout with my mohawk when they used to have the tents out . onething i notice is the purple shirted guys that used to pick up the mall and drove the purple trucks... where'd they go? i use dto see them cleaning ALL THE TIME EVERYWHERE. whered the y go?
I grew up 45min north of Denver and have lived here my whole life. It is a shame what the front range has become. Sanctuary city's, drugs, crime, homeless on top of illegal migrants. No good jobs anymore, it's sad what these democrats and rinos have done with our State in the last 25-30yrs... put your trust in God not Government!! Please forgive them for they know not what they do.

@@dano1234v Last Mayoral election there were 8 candidates, only one republican and he didn’t even make the runoff, Our choices were two demoncrats both of which were life long career politicians, Most people in this cow town aren’t too bright.
Unaffiliated here, after the last 8 years I'm fed up with what our legislators. And I'm sick of 9 news focus on all things liberal as good all things conservative bad.
You want more people to run for office, put out a video showing us how. How to get on the ballot, how to network sponsers, how to market and advertise.
so Mandy didn’t like the Republicans giving high fives to each other over being arrested and later she admits to skeletons in the closet from her 20’s😊😊😊
I'm convinced if I haven't saved enough to move out of Colorado by 2026, this state will make it impossible for me to ever be able to.
Buy land in the high country, it’s going for $1000 an acre.
We banned plastic bags here. But, the metro area is turning into a toxic waste dump thanks to urban camping.
Exactly. The Jonny Dogooders focus on all the wrong problem.

The beginning of the end for 'Republicans' in Colorado began with Bill Owens and when they ran Peter Coors against Salazar.
In my 60s. Don't have 5-10 years for Coloradx to "turn around".
Excellant show, great ideas and perfect review of current conditions
Glad you enjoyed it!
Love Mandy's show and perspective. Great interview.

Denver had terrible air quality going back to the 1990's

Yep!! Heck, I can't even park without the fear of getting Jacked. Of Course he's Guilty!! You can't Make Me Stay and try to convict. BYE
I'm fortyflertf years old, lived here my whole life and never felt the dems or the reps ever fully got anything right. We need a new party.

Moved out of Pueblo almost 12 years ago to a small mountain town. Thank goodness.

As you get poorer you care less and less about the place you live, honestly if you trasht he place you live why are you living here?
Yes I agree, people need to be paid more in this state, then they will feel more like they can be a part of society and help take care of it
It’s so bad now. But LoDo was a total ghetto pre 1995
Agreed!!!!! dont care where the good ideas come from just get government out of the way!
Sorry folks, but I don't think we need a 47 minute clip to understand the situation in Denver, or SF, NYC, LA, Chicago. Not a complete list.

Colorado Springs also turning into a dump drug den
Trump 2024 he’s the one that’s going to save not only Colorado but all 50 states
How? With his mouth? With his golf game? Blaming other people? The guy is just a wind bag.
Do you think the city is worse after making drug’s legal, I believe that has, but greedy government wanted the cash
It was put on the ballot via having enough signatures! Had nothing to do with government wanting $$.
Its not dead
Are they trying to blame the republicans for messing up Denver, because that would be the norm
Blame everybody! It's a two party dualistic insanity. You cannot blame exclusively one of two parties. Look at red areas that are worse per capita.
They Vote Democrat there, what do you expect?
You don't understand causation. We protect this state, your side exploits.
