I would never go back too growing a garden without drip tape. It was really a Great day, when I came across your channel so many years ago. Your odds of a successful garden with it, goes up Greatly, also the ease of putting out Fertilizers.
my family has grwon gardens all my life and I never knew their was a indertimante and determinate tomato. I dont have water drip so id their a way to use this fertilizer without it?
I have these from ez flo. Same product (I have four of them). Products like agro-thrive settle at the bottom if you do not use the entire tank in one feeding (even at that, a lot has settled at the bottom). It’s kind of a disappointment as I would rather water/fertilize more frequent with less water. One thing I have found to help a bit is to get a drip 360° sprinkler to replace the jet mixer that is included. This seems to stir the bottom up a bit more than factory installed option. This will work great for the “blue” fertilizers, but not so much for the organics if you want to set it and forget it.
i'm thinking that for veggies with larger root systems it might be better to use two driptapes in single row, several inches apart, to wet a bit more than a very narrow band.
For commercial growers, university extension recommends putting down half the nitrogen and all of the potassium and phosphorus at preplant. Can we do this using urea, potassium chloride and triple super phosphate granular at preplant flowed by urea side dressing during the growth phase?
I like hoss products, my only complaint is you only have 12” emitter spacing on your drip tape, and when I use it to plant tomatoes or other plants that require more spacing, I end up watering empty spots in my garden, same thing when I fertilize, any suggestions for this
I’m using the 2 gallon injector tank along with the drip tape that I got from y’all I feel like a hero when I use that injector mix everything up that I need put it in the tank hook it up turn it on and bam since that water and fertilizer right to the roots of the vegetables. Can I use the chili and nitrate on zucchini, squash, peas, cucumbers, and green beans?
OK a bit confused as to the fertilizer. We are WAY late putting out our Brassicas, Collard, Lettuce and so forth. Suppose to have winds of 50-60 mph on Thursday. On Friday it will all get planted PERIOD! We were planning on using the 20-20 -20 that we purchased from you. Now you are using the 15-0-2. Which we also purchased from you. So your suggestion there please. We will also be using the micro boost. So now putting an order together and the fertilizer injector and a few other things. Quite sure that your cash register no longer goes ka-ching. However you will hear the magical music when the credit card goes through!
Check out one of our Brassica Growing guides, The fertilization schedule is half way down. We use a combination of both. hosstools.com/broccoli-growing-guide/ hosstools.com/cauliflower-growing-guide/ Thanks for you order.
I think I'm having a problem with the emitters on my drip lines clogging. I have well water and bacterial iron. I should have probably guessed this might happen. Is there some way for me to clean the emitters to clear them. I use chlorine once in a while to clean out the pipes to the house, but I'm not sure that's a good idea for the vegetables. What do you think? I clean out the filter about once a week, but that doesn't stop it from growing in the drip lines.

So nice of you
Thanks Greg. Always looking forward to your tips and tricks for gardening.
My pleasure!
Our crops can testify to the surgical application of fertilizer with the injector. Has made a difference in the way we grow.
Thanks for teaching us how to garden👍 Greg!!
My pleasure!
Excellent video - great information and clear explanations. Thank you.
You are welcome!
I ordered the Hoss Injector but have not hooked it up yet. Still have a few raised beds that I need to put in a drip line.

I'm not sure as we do not grow commercially. I would check back with UGA.

It also encourages the roots to expand. I'm not aware of any 8mil drip tape with greater than 12 inch spacing.
Would this system work with an in ground high pressure solenoid operated drip irrigation system? How would you hook it up?
It was design as a portable system. It has water hose fitting on both ends. It is not recommended with solenoid valves. Greg
Will the fertilizer concentration be diluted in the end? The ratio will be lower gradually?
no
I noticed you were using 8 ounce applications. My garden is 30 x 25. I have eight rows. Is 8 ounces sufficient to run in a 2 gallon injector tank
double it to 16 oz. for 2 gallon. This was a 1 gallon
@@gardeningwithhoss thanks, Hoss
can this product be used with a Pulsating Sprinkler on a Tripod instead of drip tape
yes, it can
@@gardeningwithhoss thank you , just ordered one

Yes, but be careful with peas and bean as they don't need as much.
Can you use the injector and drip tape for raised beds?
yes you can
I have a bunch of expired calcium supplements l. Can I add to my garden??
I don't see why not.
