Kith x Madison Square Garden x New Balance 990 V6 "NY Rangers": Review & On-Feet

- Last week, Kith released their special collaboration with Madison Square Garden, dropping two colourways of the New Balance 990 V6. Inspired by the teams that call MSG home, the pair I'm reviewing today draw inspiration from the team colours of the NHL's New York Rangers. This Made in USA pair features a predominantly navy blue upper, with the Rangers' signature red and blue hits seen throughout, along with an icy outsole as a nod to the sport. The QC on my pair was flawless. Instantly put the cream laces on. Think they look so much better. I don't have many dark colored NBs so this worked out well. Still can't believe I actually hit on a kith raffle 🎉

Opposite situation for me lol... I was planning on eventually getting the lapis but since I hit on these I don't need the lapis now. I'd argue though with the cream laces on these they look very very different than the lapis. It changes the shoe completely
I'm not a fan of the upturned toe cap look. Adidas did it with a series of their soccer shoes and it took me awhile to get use to it. Although I like the colorway and the icy outsole, I just can't justify the price tag, especially when there are so much QC issues with it.

Man I did not know anything about these or the knicks color way I’m so sick just finding out about these I might have to cop on the resale color way personally like these more then the knicks color way but the knicks color way is dope as well might go for those as well. Only thing I don’t like about the rangers pair is the icey sole cuz it gets yellow but I can prolly get over it if I can find something to spray on it to preserve it.

Agreed that Knicks colour way is way better….people can say rangers colour way is more limited but I would tend to believe it is because Kith knows knicks colour way would sell more and thus made more…
I like the cream pair a little better , as far as blue , the Bronsons kill these .. my opinion
I was wondering which do you prefer. I remember when the previews came out I was hoping they were black. Even though it’s a themed pack and I did lose interest (because I want a black multicolor V6) I wouldn’t mind getting either one of these pairs.
I would of got them but not a fan of the grey on the side.

Qc was on point for mine, but they’re the most snug pair of V6 I have, will have to trade/sell mine soon (8.5M ;) ) as they’re too snug for me to wear…😢

The only thing I don’t like about this sneaker is the 3m strips on the toe box.😬 3m scratches easily and creases badly. Ronnie should have placed the 3m hits elsewhere. But nice looking shoe out the box.
No idea how this classifies as a Rangers colorway. It clearly looks like an Islanders shoe. From a born and raised New Yorker.
I thought the same but that's not orange. It looks orange online but it's definitely rangers red in person.

Nope bc they’re cushioned enough. But I use it for like an AJ1

The older versions are more balanced, which is ironic for a brand called New Balance 😂😂😂
