hey thanks for the comment. i use camtasia 9 videos come in 1080p and 30fps, it has a recorder incorporated. Unfortunately 60fps was only for the next versions after mine

hello, this is really the kind of video that we miss as newbies so thanks a lot.
As a novice, I use my keeper as the beast arrives, walk around it and pat it on the back and spawn a mummy that creates an explosion and takes a lot of its life.
Yes the best you can do is use the guardian as soon as the beast approaches you, so you can kill it quickly 👍

So basically intimidate effect doubles the power of the primal growl? You said it intimidates the surroundings and deals double damage when it does so, but I just saw it release the intimidate effect and then deal double damage, because the surroundings were just a straight path
I didn't get what "intimidates the surroundings" means and well what intimidate effect means at all
I used to play this game in the past and was around 2,300 trophies with hero level 96 but I don't remember some things, this is one of them
Indeed, his test is good to see from which range the beast attack, or what a howl boost implies for the beast attack potency.
But, like you said, we don't see the effect on the surroundings. Because there are no troops (neither on the attack nor the defense). As well, there is no tower or obstacle. I guess 1 test is just not enough for explaining everything. Yet, he manages to convey a good amount of Intel.
To clarify on your questions:
On the beast description, you can see 2 aura ranges indicated. The "blue-ish" icon shoes the range of the intimidation effect. The red one shows the range of the howling effect (aka the howl from any wolf).
Because Growl beast is generous, not only he has intimidation upon the ennemis, he also have red aura howl boost on all allies units and structures. So he is also a Howl beast (making Howl beast a useless beast).
The range is described in, meter or something. 1 square of the path has a side length of 5. So it gives an idea of the capacity from both auras of Growl beast.
Then you can make a small test in your defense. You put a couple obstacles and towers in a area around the beast, plus units. And you will see the difference.
The blue aura will get casted and slow down all attacking units. As well making them twice more vulnerable. At the same time, ennemies will be boosted and be tougher with higher attack rate.
This is where Growl is much better than Phoebe.
Higher in trophies, a looot of players have Gaspar guardian, that just destroy beats quite easily. And Phoebe is no exception. That bear disappears in a second on the battlefield.
But, Growl on the other hand. If he has time to roar. He will be boosted and might resist the Gaspar attack. And, he will make the Gaspar guardian less resistant. Namely, the defense can rip out the Guardian more easily. The biggest weakness of Gaspar is his HP bar. And Growl can exploit that.
A lot of players make also a S shape around the Growl, and put heal towers behind Growl. So this cute dog will boost all obstacles, protected by blockades, he will boost the heal towers, and the heal towers will also heal the beast.
Most probably, Growl will be standing on pikes. That he will boost as well. And that the tower will heal.
At any time the pikes get damaged, it triggers the healing from the towers, and heal the beast.
The hero will arrive on the beast, and if he has a bad timing, he is facing a boosted beast that make all surrounding tougher, slow down everything, and cripple the attacker health by half. A double swing from a max level beast with max level hero can shred the guardian in pieces.
And good thing for Growl, his attack deals normal damages. So it not resisted by the units, and most players don't have resistances for normal damage.
All in all, Growl beast allows to exploit a lot of complex mechanics. But in order to be profitable. A player must have a good amount of suitable obstacles, towers, and units so Growl can benefit from them.
On the other hand, Phoebe requires much less efforts. With only a wolf or two in the area, the best still can be danger for some players.

Yeah, overall that's the idea, Phoebe is more a casual player beast. Growl is for sweaty players (there is Ceres and Eris too, although Eris I find really overrated).

Unfortunately, this beast is too weak to piercing damage. She will die really quickly.
Pellez's test is still relevant today. The best beast for most players at max level is Growl beast. But you need to have insights on how to make this beast fearsome.
Growl has 2 powers, he slows down and weakens the hero, plus he also boosts the surroundings.
Basically, Growl needs a setup around him. If the beast appears in the middle of nothing, the hero will defeat it quite easily.
But if the beast appears well protected behind blockades, sitting on pikes and healed by heal towers in the back. Plus surrounded by high damaging units like vikings, plus high damaging towers like lightning towers or others. Then Growl can be quite a problem, even more than Phoebe beast.
To do so, you need yet some well upgraded obstacles.
People that players with Gaspar guardian can defeat a lot of the beast easily. But the boost effect from Growl makes him tougher against Gaspar.
Pheobe is the beast that gives value with the least setup. You just need a couple of wolves around it, and he starts to be an issue.
If your alliance unlocked it, you can also try Ceres beast. Ceres has the power to clone units close to him. So if you position it well enough, and protect it well enough with a similar setup to Growl. You will have a beast that creates defensive waves based on your existing waves.
Celestial nemesis is literally the best beast I have used itij my defence it strong enough to kill 9 Max Vikings and 1 ogre ( level 8 celestial nemesis)
I wonder if the celestial nemesis can combine with the necromancers cause it summon skeletons a lot :)))

@@Vitki0920 The skeletons of the beast are weak. Necromancer skeletons too.
The only pros of the skeletons are:
- waste time so the attacker or his troops attack them instead of the base.
- Mayyybe, deal damage on a carless attacker who tries to go through them.
Celestial Nemesis has only 2 pro :
- his Armageddon upon dying. This beast will always launch 1 Armageddon. While Phebe may die before doing anything.
- the skeletons will force the attacker to waste a spell at least.
On his test he is kind of right. Growl and Phebe are top tier beasts.
Growl has actually multiple abilities. Not only intimidation, but also howl boost. Kind of unfair for Howl Beast but Growl is Howl but even better. So Growl can boost the environment, slow down the attacker and virtually divide his HP by 2 cause of the intimidation effect.
His Howl effect makes him more resistant than Phebe to Gaspar as well.
So Growl is the super F2P beast. He is very easy to upgrade to lvl 10, and very versatile.
If you watch the top tier bases (I am sure you have done it already) you see here and there Growl beast.
Other alliances pick 2 additional beasts at the very top of the leaderboard:
- Celestial Ceres: to clone and boost surrounding troops.
- Celestial Eris : to launch a long range lighting attack. Lighting has no resistance by runes or armor parts. So it is some damage to be watched by the attacker.
@@fellowkrieger457 skeleton are weak because they can be killed from opposite path with spells or ranged troops, therefore make sure they can travel safely to the king by reducing choke points :))) and most high level bases combine them with werewolves and that can be a trouble if they overload you :33 of course defensive Nemesis can not be compared with Growl or other high tie beasts

Where and how do i make a beast protect my thing
You need 2 conditions:
1) join an alliance if it not already the case. Defensive beats are available only if you are in alliance.
2) pick an alliance that has the beast you look for. Basically alliances need to unlock the beasts.
Mainly, look at the alliance level, it goes along more or less for how long the alliance is active.
Most alliances will have the common beats : Tammy, Archimedes, Howl, but also Growl 👍.
Nonetheless Growl is more interesting if you have very strong obstacles, and if you have a good amount of leadership in your waves. It is still quite good. You can like pair it up with monks and necros, vikings if you like and you end up with boosted skeletons and a beast that get healed by boosted monks. But it requires yeah, high leadership in waves and obstacles to protect Growl.
Otherwise Pheobe is one you need to look for, if you are more a casual player 👍. It is just a lot of trouble for people that don't really know how to deal with it. And he does in that case, a really good job.
Reminder : high level alliances often asks more to their members (more donations, higher trophies, active participation in events, etc). Just pick one you feel comfortable with and have fun 👍.

Hans is mainly used to get additional pearls when people use gems while attacking.
He is not that great otherwise.

depends on your hero's level and Beast Boost of the alliance as well the beast strength and health ;)

@Daniel Yates pheobe beast is to mutch strong that why I'm always find him almost in every raid :( so I decided to not use him and use the most not used beast ( Bela or fritz or aki)
