Cap1talA, a dynamic 21-year-old rapper from Kent, is making waves in the UK music scene, blending jazz, grime and deeply introspective lyrics. We discuss his influences, future projects, favourite artists and his experiences in the music industry.
Touching 1 million streams twice with his tracks "Paranoia" and "In My Head", Cap1tala balances hitmaking with forthright honesty. With influences from legends Tyler the Creator, Mac Miller, Childish Gambino J.Cole, Kendrick Lamar, Nas, Curren$y, and The Notorious B.I.G, Cap1tala is crafting a new sound in the UK scene.
Cap1talA’s music is a fusion of the gritty sounds of 90s Hip-Hop and soul, combined with contemporary influences from Trap and alternative beats. His innovative approach is marked by his distinctive use of jazz instrumentals layered over trap rhythms, though he also enjoys experimenting with boom bap. This eclectic mix not only showcases his versatility but also sets him apart in the crowded hip-hop landscape.
