This music defined my youth
Always positive all the time
The Producers were awesome. It's a shame they never had greater exposure. They could have been big. This song is a testament to their talent.
I saw them in San Antonio 82/83 when they opened for The Romantics at the Sunken Gardens. Fabulous time with great friends!
I was there too!
I was at that show.
A song that makes my heart flutter to this day. In 7th grade in 1982 I heard this for the first time at the age of 12. on a radio station in Knoxville called WIMZ. The keyboard sounds on the intro made me imagine the glisten of the early morning sunrays on the hair of a girl on the school bus who I was attracted to. When the song kicks in with the drums it felt like the pitter pat of my junior high heart when I'd see the the girl on my way to school every morning.
The chord changes and the vocal style felt like how my little junior high heart would pitter-pat when I'd see her intogicating prettiness in the morning sun on our way to school.
Things like this made it so magical to be a growing, music-loving boy so infatuated with a girl's pretty face and hair in the 80s. The magic of music. Sound, vision, and emotion.
Instead of Michael Jackson's "Thriller", this is the thing that made my heart skip a beat and rocked my world in junior high. A relatively unknown, obscure band from Georgia.
The energy takes my breath away to this day.
Man, you really captured that so well - I think it's an experience that a lot of us from that time can relate to, and you described it so well. Cheers!
First heard of them on MTV today I still listen to it at least once a week or more or more guess got stuck love their music
I wonder if Wayne Famous still plays that enormous keyboard.
I saw them in the mid 80s in a club , Graham's Central Station, in San Antonio, GREAT band,..... love Wayne Famous,......😍😍😍
Wayne made keyboard players look cool. Huge influence. ♥
Cruising in the bronco w/ this song cranked…the 80s! Doesn’t get any better.
I saw them while I was in college at Ohio University. Will never forget it. They were awesome and yrs I always loved this song! They were great. I found the cd many years later and purchased it
Saw them at the Attic in Myrtle Beach in 1985 on a Tuesday night. I was the only one there that came for the band.
They played a little venue in Vicksburg , Ms. This song live was one of the best ever
Underrated song love it!
Great song and Great music video!!! The Producers were underrated!!!
Should have been the biggest band of the early 80s.
Marvelous 3 IV covers this amazing tune incredibly kids!!!
She lives in my head
Playing at Sumnerfest in Milwaukee June 22
This keyboardist was born for a keytar
She sheila Lyrics
Who's that on my radio?
Who's that on my new tv?
Who's that on my stereo?
Sheila is invading me
She sheila's in my mind
The way she looks at me she might as well be blind
She sheila's in my head
And when I talk to her I lie alone in bed
Pictures all around me
Pictures of her everywhere
She's the picture of my dreams
Picture perfect me to stare
She sheila's in my mind
The way she looks at me she might as well be blind
She sheila's in my head
And when I talk to her I lie alone in bed
Sheila.... Sheila....
She sheila's in my mind
The way she looks at me she might as well be blind
She sheila's in my head
And when I talk to her I lie alone in bed
I always thought the model (Sheila?) was hot 🔥
I FEEL BAD THAT THESE SUPER TALENTED GUYS DIDN'T ACHIEVE SUPER STARDOM LIKE THEY DESERVED ...I LOVED THIS SONG AS A 10TH GRADER AND IT STILL GIVES ME THAT AWESOME VIBE ALL THESE YEARS LATER . VAN IS A MUSICAL HERO OF MINE .
I loved the time period. 80's. This song was always on my boyfriend's car. I remember watching us in the glass of stores. I thought I had it made😂
Partying during the '80's in Atlanta...oh man
🤘😝👍
The best band ever
I still play their records. ♥
What an underrated song and an underrate video
Fantastic little song! Such an underrated band.
2024, saw them back in the 80s. Big fun.
I have always loved this song and the album since It first came out!!
That tune kicked MY ASS in the day!!! Still Does!👍👍👍👍👍👍
Underrated song and band.
Love this! In awe of that keyboard playing!
Damn, I used to love this song... And I still, LOVE THIS SONG!! 😍
It always blows my mind to watch Wayne "Famous" McNatt dancing around with an Oberheim OB-X hanging around his neck! Probably something like 30 to 40 pounds . . . and he's jumping like it's nothing!
I’m here because of the Marvelous 3 version!! 🤘🏻🤘🏻
Me too!
Nelson also recorded a version of this song as well.
Great song from a good band.
Check out Marvelous 3’s cover of She Sheila! It has heavier guitars, but stays true to the original. Very Nice! Edit: As I’m commenting I realize I’m wearing a Producer’s shirt in my profile pic. 😀
Love this song. I remember them playing one of first New Years Eve concerts on MTV.
Saw ‘em in Ocean City, Maryland. ‘84. Great show.
Maybe they can come back!
It’s been a minute
Butch walker brought me here
I was in 11th grade ask my girlfriend to marry me while this song was playing.
Her name was Shelly.
Pretty much a perfect pop song.
I watch "You've Got the Look" then this. Context.
My dad played this song when I was little. now I’m rediscovering it at 20 :) the sound of the keyboard at the beginning is so unique! anyone know how they got it like that?
One thing is for certain, that keyboard Wayne Famous is slinging around wasn't light!
@@mokanlines I read somewhere that he developed back problems. 🙁 I think it's an Oberheim synth, but I'm not sure which model.
It really is distinctive. Most of it is just how well it's played - a couple different harmonious lines played in a tight staccato way. I think Antony is right that it was an Oberheim synth, which probably had multiple "voices" for each sound that could be spread around the stereo field, so in the beginning where it sounds like multiples of one sound kind of spread out between your ears, that's the effect it has.
Synthesizer was an Oberheim OB-X, and they went for around $4,600 - $6,000 back in 1980. In 2024 dollars, that's over $20,000!
Still an awesome song
2:14 That face 💙💙💙
My Homies!! 1982
I remember when this hit the airwaves on 94.7 WQDR, before they flipped to country. Major jam, my first thought when I saw the video was, that keyboard player’s got to have a sore back.
Who is the model?
Good question!
Saw them in Austin outdoors back in 82/83 . . Opened for Flock of Seagulls and Squeeze. Fond memories from over half a lifetime ago.
Must have been a great show! Do you remember the venue? I think I was there. Sneakers perhaps? Opry House?
@@billbreed , it was in Zilker park down by the river in downtown Austin. . . It was sponsored by radio station KLBJ . . A Day in the Park.
Walked down by the river to smoke a joint and came across the F. of Seagulls bass player with 2 girls in tow. I kept moving bcz I didn’t want to interrupt their fun.
@@keysersoze4658 great story and great triple bill! 👏👏
