Please read the blog post more carefully so you don’t end up disappointed. The 10 rivals are being added, but that doesn’t mean the game is reaching the finish line yet. He’s adding the rivals to prove he can put 10 rivals in the game. But that is not exactly how the final/real game will be.
He isn't gonna be anyway. He is fine with the game's development situation.

I feel like if anything, he'll be rushing to complete the game more than ever to push it through before he's no longer making enough money from patreon to live off.

@@solunstellpersonal1707 I think you might be misunderstanding something? The next build yandev is uploading will have all 10 weeks, complete with all 10 rivals. If he released any updates in between its silently just to fix bugs. If I'm remembering correctly in one of his recent videos he said that he wanted to prove he could finish the game so that he could get more funding for whenever he makes his crowdfund from the people that only saw it as a game that was unfinished in 7 years. The crowdfund will be for voice acting, animations, and more individuality between the rivals though, not just copies of osana, so I dont know exactly what to expect in the next update

It makes me sad to think about. I remember being so excited about this "game" when I was younger, always checking yandev's account on the first and fifteenth of each month for updates. I know the "game" isn't supposed to be super serious but at this point it feels like one of those shitty parody mobile games. The only thing that made the "game" interesting was using the easter eggs and laughing at weird glitches.

Like for example if he puts a facecam it'll cover something important, maybe something that'll pop up, and we wouldn't be able to see it since he has his facecam on.

Honestly, I forgot about this game. I don't really care about it anymore, but if all the rivals get added, I just wanna see how it's gonna be. The only true thing that's keeping me interested in this game is the theory that one of the Basu sisters is a succubus, which has its own story line, and the fact that there is a game in the game that shows this story line. But other than that, I don't know how I feel about the game anymore, even though at some point I was kinda obsessed with it. I'm just here to see the game's overall progress. I'm not trying to contradict myself, and if the game gets all the rivals, that's good and all but not something that'll make me surprised, honestly.
I also only care for the lore of the other characters and world surrounding the school. Lile the reporter.

@Aesthetically Anxious he was exposed for a lot of dodgy behavior, yelling at fans and kinda being a creep, I think a video on ManyKudos titled ‘The Concise History of YandereDev’ does a good job of explaining. To be honest I’m not the biggest fan of the guy either, but I agree with CAM, YanSim brought me to Jay’s channel and I always enjoy his YanSim content despite how I feel about YandereDev.

The weapon system as a whole is decent but for what it’s worth there’s no difference other than big weapon and small weapon which is really just slow weapon and fast weapon. I know that some weapons are also better for stealth because they don’t cause bleeding.
I think it’d be better if every weapon was somehow unique, like having different kill times for quicker executions, varying levels of bleeding, or even for the smaller weapons different difficulties to conceal, such as a student council member noticing and calling you out on a knife but not seeing the makeshift or scissors. Another concept could be some students are quick and may try to dodge the killing strike instead of being a bunch of livestock around the school, and you’d need to sneak up or use a quick weapon to get them. Honestly I haven’t seen this game in years, and Ngl I completely forgot about it until I saw this video being recommended to me. Seeing it again is kinda a huge nostalgia trip and it’s really cool, but it also feels so strange and different from how much the game has changed, it makes me want to watch more videos about it again
I mean the crafting update is cool, but the basseball bat litterally kills anyone in 1 hit anyways, so I don't see the point in having a spiked bat. Can somebody tell me what the spiked bat can do that the original bat can't.

Why does yandere dev even waste his time adding these features if they are useless and no one is gonna even use them, like why would a player go out of their way to gets nails and the bat when it does the same amount of damage.
