I went to a local GI and he was CLUELESS about SIBO! He had me do a breath test at my request. I had no idea that he would only test for hydrogen, especially when my symptoms indicate that if I have SIBO, I am methane dominant. The man had NO KNOWLEDGE of this and treated me like I was an idiot finding garbage diagnoses on the internet. He was completely unconcerned about the bloating I've been dealing with, keeping me up nights, for DECADES! He told me to take Maalox every day and call if I had any more issues. PATHETIC!!!
