I'm with you man. When Mitch passed the band should have changed the name. His brutality in his voice was Suicide Silence. No disrespect to Eddie, but even he knows he'll never be Mitch. The attempts to cover this song and pretty much every song Mitch sang are just awful.
RIP MITCH. Some people say that these guys are scary but my friend, her cousin is the drummer and she says that they are all nice teddy bears. Mitch seemed like a nice guy and a great father

Great song...great band...saw em live 3 times, blown away every time! His stage presence was unparalleled...he was a fucking monster! I still jam this album all the time and it will never ever get old!
This song was inspired by a politician who shot himself in the head, and his name is Budd Dwyer. And this song is not directed towards emo, so this song is from the perspective of off that tragic event in 1987. I do notice allot of people don't dig deeper into this song, because it is not directed towards emo. And Mitchell Adam Lucker was obsessed with history, so he wrote this song based of off that tragic event. Oh, and I warn you the video is brutal when the guy blew his head off, because he was still alive after the shot penetrated through the roof of his head....
Have nothing but respect for Suicide Silence and Mitch Lucked. The history between their songs is immense and very deep, Mitch was an artist with lyrics. RIP
I found Suicide Silence 6 months after Mitch died, and I regret saying I didn't really care when I found out that the lead singer had passed. But now, I have a hard time watching his music videos without tearing up. I think new fans have the right to be sad about Mitch's death just as anyone else and it shouldn't make a difference when any of us started listening if we are enjoying the music. I'm a new-ish fan and I get sad about his accident just as much as people who were listening to them from the beginning. Don't hate on the new fans.
The fact that this is still just as good to this day makes me fucking rage . Mitch would be fucking demolishing new age genres . So underappreciated 🖤🤘

I hope they do, too, but not many people can truly pull off what Mitch could do. His stage presence was just incredible and his vocal skill was top notch.
R.I.P. Mitch! You have no idea what you and your band have done for my life. I wouldn't be writing this if I didn't have your music to get me through all the shit. You will forever be in our hearts and missed. Prayers go out to your beautiful daughter Kenadee, your band, and your family.
RIP Mitch! Loved Suicide Silence so much! I went to Mayhem Fest in 2011 mainly to see them, as they were my favorite band at the time. It was such an incredible experience (even if my dad did pull me back from the mosh pit, I guess he didn't think a 16y/o would hold up little did he know it wouldn't have been my first one) I waited in line for over 2 hours to get my poster, shirt, and Black Crown album signed by the band, hay I was 16 and my have been fangirling just a bit, and almost passed out from the heat, but I never regretted getting to meet the band, and Mitch as he sadly passed away the next year. Haven't listened to there newer stuff since Mitch passed, honestly I kind of just get sad when I do and a little afraid it might ruin the band for me, it has happed with bands in the past.
Wish Mitch was still with us and I don't mean anything negative about the singer they have now but there was something special about Mitch that can't be replaced. RIP Brother

SwagOverScene I have noooo fucking clue how that this song somehow "saved" people lives from committing suicide. "Seconds from the end, what's it gonna be?! Pull the trigger bitch!" Like what the fuck?!
+Nathan Kelly it's the mocking, insulting taunt of a bully. Accompanied with "you coward, you're a fucking disgrace", I could see how some people would be discouraged, as it elicits a "fuck you, I'm better than that" kind of response. But honestly, I would expect emo kids to take it literally and be encouraged by the words, rather than be saved by them.
+Nathan Kelly sry but I need to speak my mind Warning from this its my thoughts Songs have different meaning for people. Like for me since I've been hiding in a shell that I've been building up for five years it's telling me to stop being such a coward and start to say what you mean all the time. Ex specially since after I've been building these walls all around me I've been suicidal and this song gets me out of it. So simply what I'm trying to say is just because it may not help you it doesn't mean that the song means nothing to others. No one is the same. No one has to be. If the world was filled with the same people then I would be a stupid world to be honest, all boring and stuff. So just keep the comments to yourself unless you really want to share and think about it or you'll regret it later like I honestly probably will. But I just needed to get it out.
What most people don't know is that the song actually expresses the mental thoughts going through someone's mind at a suicidal state, and that they were actually raising awareness about suicide, kick ass song though!

+Sk8tr32111 Look at these people, Clarence.
Casuals, all of them.
I'll never forget that I was knocked out in the pit when they did this at bamboozle 2009 in Jersey. The whole thing was fucking nuts when I came too my white concert shirt was covered in blood from my nose being broken but it was totally worth it cause I had the pleasure of meeting Mitch and the guys after their set. My best friend Matt has the pictures and video of it happening somewhere on his computer.
This for metalheads m8 ;)
Tbh yes, not many metalheads listen to this band tho /:
+Ivan Calderon Probably due to emo's. Not that I have anything against them, but it's true.
+Cameron Yeats so emos listens to cannibal corpse
Ivan Calderon
Well, some of them might, I'm just saying, most of the fanbase of Suicide Silence is emos.
Cameron Yeats Yeah, Emos don't even realize that Suicide Silence are mocking them xD
