When I saw this, I thought the exact same thing. Can’t help but think that this was in some way an inspiration to Ren, for Hi Ren. Not that it matters at all, but it most certainly occurred to me.
IVE BEEN SAYING THAT SINCE HI REN CAME OUT I’m certain Ren saw this and either got inspired or decided to bite the overall subject matter and style but with his own spin Jordan is better imo Master class of succinct rhyme writing, straight to the point, cutting and full of complex flows at the same time
Never known of Complete but with this track hes definitly on my radar and im going to check out his whole catalogue - very talented and raw. I can absolutly see why theres the thinking with Hi-Ren and copying something from it - first thing i thought when i absolutly unknowingly watched the video by checking your new release without checking the title. But after all - i'm sure Ren would 100% mention Complete if its intentionally a tribute / influenced song by him. After all there's so much music out there and so many artists - that it wouldn't wonder myself if both of them had a simliar idea in the end and created a track like this - and somehow they are very near in the performance on each other without any knowingly influence by each. Just have to take a mirror to myself - i am checking out songs like these and mainly hiphop & rap with storytelling, important messages, deep lyrics and still didn't catch Complete by now which is a shame - but in the end luckily i catched on him and thats what's counts. Lets just enjoy the music without the theorycrafting about how it got copyied by Ren or not - if you are that much interested i honestly would suggest to just ask him in one of his streams, on his community page on UA-cam or in his comment sections. Wouldn't wonder myself if he's as shocked as we are or giving more insight why and how it came to the similarities :)
Well said... some other deep ones from Complete you'll enjoy... Dutch Courage, The Only Reason I'm Writing This, Born for This.. he has a lot of great tracks, but those ones are that next level raw and honest it sounds like you're looking for.

ONLY ONE REN.. Songs contain many emotions and are about many subjects. NO ONE has touched this subject like Ren, nor had such emotional connections with the public. I know it is human to make comparisons or say someone sounds like but Ren has proven through his body of work, there is only one REN.
I am very happy Ren has brought more attention to this topic. And that so many find his music so powerful, but I wouldn't speak in such absolutes as you do. Music Is very subjective. I heard Ren's music first and while I too felt it was something special, the comment below leading me to Complete meant so much more to me personally. Not only did this particular song hit me far harder then what I've heard from Ren on this topic, It lead me to listen to his body of work as I had just done with Ren. There I found "Dutch Courage" which had such an emotional connection with me it got me to get some help and get sober. Now like I said music is subjective so I don't say any of this to say Complete is better. And certainly not to draw a one to one comparison between them as I believe they have many differences. Really I'm just pointing out way some would disagree that no one had had such emotional connections with the public. Anyway I hope this didn't come across as combative or anything like that. Have a good one.
@@declandorsey9662very well said.
