- Perfect. to the writers from the fans this is the way we fans wanted you the writers to write the Billy and Ally love story with an happy ending.
I had the inspiration for this video while I made "A Kiss to build a Dream On", I wanted to rewrite the ending of Ally McBeal the way we the fans wanted it to be written. And I know this song had been used by all the fan's videographers, but I thought this song were perfect for Ally and Billy.
I hope you guys enjoy it.
You are so correct! Most every fan of the series wanted Ally and Billy to get together again,to see those star-crossed lovers regain the happiness they once had.In that scene from "Boy Next Door",when Ally sees Billy's ghost for the first time, he asked her if she knew of any two people who had what they had,and she tearfully whispers,"No".The best love scenes were always between Ally and Billy.
Billy CHOSE to leave. He fell in ?Love with Georgia and wanted to Marry her 10 minutes after he met her. Billy and Ally were NOT star-crossed. He walked away. He would not allow Ally-who still loved him- to find love with Greg because he was JEALOUS. Something terribly off about calling Billy-Ally the great love for each. Not true. I preferred Ally with Greg or better yet, Larry forever.
One of the best things I liked about Ally McBeal was the tender moments between Ally and Billy that tugged at your heartstrings.In the episode"Crossing the Lines" in Season 1,you see Billy staring at the mirror in the Uni-Sex Bathroom,imagining him and Ally Dancing a waltz in formal wear, when suddenly Ally enters and asks, what's wrong? After a while he tells her that watching her earlier make love to a coffee cup, reminded him of making love to Ally while making eye contact.That he still missed her.She tells him that he shouldn't go there, that they should have boundaries where their relationship is concerned.Later you see her watching Billy, unobserved, while he bends over his desk seemingly in sorrow and regret at how he still misses her, while in the background you can hear Vonda Shepard sing this sad love song:"Once upon a timer long time ago,I thought that I should leave you,I thought that you should go.I never really said goodbye.I never really heard you cry, and after all this time it's hard to say, the only love I had I sent away..." At the end of the episode, you see Ally slowly brushing her hair while staring at the mirror, dancing in a formal gown, just like Billy,while you again hear Vonda Shepard singing the last verses of this sad love song:"So I send this out,wherever you may be,to tell you I still love you, you're still a part of me.If you can ever find a way, that I'll be home before the day.You can smile and tell me it's okay, that the only love I had I sent away".It's scenes like that that made Ally McBeal so endearing and memorable.
beautiful post and so wonderful to read. Billy and Ally were why I watched. Greg could have been someone for Ally. I think Billy knew that and that is why he kissed her. Sometimes I found him controlling- made me sad. Watching now, I think Ally truly loved Billy. He left for Georgia then he became jealouse of Ally and Greg. Nope lost my love of Billy. Love Ally.

No actually I only done Billy and Ally, I used to like Ally and Larry, I have only the first 3 season on DVD. This is so upsetting how the writers tortured the fans, by screwing up Ally's happy ending. I'm glad you like my channel, I was surprise there weren't anymore Ally and Billy fan's vids out there.
