Hi Tannie! So...I had been wanting duplicate item placement since day one, but more so when the menu was broken and it would keep going back up to the beginning after you placed an item. It was excrutiating to decorate say, a dining room where you were placing 6-8 chairs and the chair was near the bottom. Oh my gosh! That was so annoying. But now they've fixed the menu and I haven't really given that feature much thought anymore, but I'm glad to have it. I never thought about auto replacement of paths and fences, but it's nice too. What I want, more than anything else, are: 1) Angling 2) Proper centering 3) Free placement and the ability to overlap items 4) That doggone search bar!
Yes I feel like these things are nice to having but there's other things I would want more as a priority such as centering items and being able to angle them. There's definitely benefits to duplicate placing but I just wish we had other features first buuuuut perhaps we might be lucky and still get them
@@tanniegames I really hope we do, because being honest, not having these features keeps me from decorating as much as I’d like. I’m a simmer from way back so to go from that kind of freedom to the restrictions of DDV has been pretty infuriating and frustrating.
These features sound great! I do think these features are what some people wanted, and I have seen people excited about them as well. Sure, people want other things to and maybe more so but just because you don't want it or haven't seen it asked for yourself doesn't mean it isn't wanted. I am very curious about the last thing they shared about new collections tabs which to me sounds like it might be the closest to a search bar they can do or want to do atm. I can't imagine it's an easy thing to implement. Hopefully these new collection tabs will make it easier to find items.
I do agree that just because I want something doesn't mean that others don't! It's definitely something that people will have their own feelings on, and I think if you play on console vs pc makes a big difference with certain things. I just hadn't seen people discuss these changes before on social media. But that could just be social media doing its thing where it only shows viewpoints I would interact with haha!
I feel like I'm gonna save my opinions till we get patch notes, & even the update. You have to remember they typically give us more than they tease. With every update we tend to get extra features we weren't expecting. I am looking forward to this update. At the very least - they seem to be trying to work on the decorating which really need a complete overhaul!! Can't wait to see what comes!
Yes I'm hoping there's more to come for sure. I will of course see how things work in game. As I said in the video these don't seem like bad features just they aren't the ones that I particularly wanted :)
I love the path/fence feature. (Mostly pathing since i dont use much fencing.) I change my mind on pathing a LOT. But seriously where is the search bar??!! Edit-- i also want to be able to select around a build and move it as one item instead of having to rebuild piece by piece.
I feel like the search bar is so often requested that and like being able to center items and rotate items on an angle. Fingers crossed these are surprise features that come aswell?
Aww Tannie ❤ listening to your excitement and what you wanted vs knowing what was coming..... I do like the path change feature. I think that will help me decide which path to use in a snap better than trying to decide by doing little samples However agree, these weren't in my top wish list. For me it's valley presets. I refuse to decorate since I want a blank canvas for snaps. Valley presets will solve that problem. But agree search bar and better grid/angles would be great too
Hahaha I was sooo excited then just like.... shocked hahaha! I'm surprised so many people want the path change but I guess that's something that I don't often switch up much. I'm glad the features are useful!
didnt catch that and more but fingers crossed! Like dont get me wrong the features arent the worst just I didnt feel like it was heavily in demand but maybe I am wrong with that
@@tanniegames nah I can’t see myself using the new features they listed really - if they were going for features people always ask for I’d think they’d give us curved paths, ability to rotate things or smaller footprints …. Guess we’ll see if they give us anything else
@@tanniegames the collections thing is a good idea - the duplicate thing I don’t see myself using unless I’m putting out counters or chairs though to be honest because I always use different variants item when decorating. It’s a helpful idea, just not one I was asking for is all lol

@@tanniegames paths are anoying to have to replace all the time in my opinion this helps. as for search bar and angling furniture to that is wanted but we all have our own opinions on what we feel is needed more. yes a search would be a good thing but for me i dunno i just take things as they are added if you get me.
"who requested this" had me laughing so loud 😂😂😂 but that's my thoughts exactly! I am desperate to have valley preset. I had to destroy half of my frosted heights for this week's challenge and it would help tremendously if I can save a plain valley and decorated valley on another save, that would help decorating, this is a bit useless imo, or at least not as exciting as the other features mentioned by you and other players

I dont think the features are bad as such just not what I would have expected haha! And omg yesss everything disappears into this rug!
The pathing feature would have been nice when we got paths with borders because I changed a lot over but I would take a search bar over that any day 😂

1, 2 & 3 are welcomed improvements in my opinion especially paving and maybe they are not telling us all improvements yet but i am happy either way.
