      Tony Sp Because he was stabbing her with a gun? They could have stopped him with a baseball bat. I don't feel bad that the guy's dead but let's not pretend that there would be no possible solution to this other than a gun.

      First of all my dad was a loving man who wanted to see his child and the only reason he did it is because she said that she will not let him see his child so this happened because of her saying that she was not going to let him see my brother and the man did not have to shoot him 12 times he could have let the cops arrest him because he has children who care about him and we all miss him so y’all can stop getting mad because y’all need to hear what really happened and why he did It.

      Something like this happened to a friend. Her ex boyfriend had been stalking her. Her brothers were drop her off and she’d call them and let them know she was in the department. Well one day she didn’t call. He had kidnapped her. When the brothers found them they put quite a beating on him. One brother stab him. One of the stab wounds was in his ankle, crippling him. The brothers went to court and were not charged.

    You guys are wrong. The guy already went to the trouble of securing an isolated cabin in the wilderness. The correct thing to do would be to hold him at gunpoint, tie him to a chair, tourniquet his limbs and sever just below with whatever blade he had, then gag him and let whatever forest critter or stray dog that felt hungry gnaw away until he passed.

  • @fullyawakened

    I would never even consider involving the police in something like this. The police always make every situation 10x worse, often they turn a situation fatal. Had police handled the situation they would have cowered outside the cabin for hours trying to negotiate while he stabbed her to death, or more likely, killed both the victim and the assailant in a hail of uncoordinated gun fire.
    TYT praises this story of heroism, but with the the other side of their mouth they condemn private gun ownership. I can't think of a more clear cut example of exactly why it is time for TYT to drop the hypocritical anti-gun rhetoric. It sucks that we need guns to protect ourselves from degenerates and our own government, but we do NEED them.

    • @RiC_David
      @RiC_David 10 років тому +5

      That entire comment rests upon the incompetency of the police force had they been the ones to break into the cabin. I think people could point to an example of the police screwing something like this up or to an example of it being executed (npi) properly to make opposing points. You speak as though there's no way any police force could have done it properly and no way this could have gone terribly wrong, both of which are false.

    • @patmacrotch5611
      @patmacrotch5611 10 років тому

    With all of the past history of this guy, if I saw the guy with a knife at a distance and saw that he had already stabbed my relative, I would say that he fulfills the three factors (Intent, Opportunity, and Ability),plus the "21 Foot Rule" applies here, I would totally unload on this guy. Look up the "21 Foot Rule", it is basically an exhaustive study that the FBI did that states that a knife wielding assailant will be able to stab you before you can draw your gun and get off one shot if the person is at or within 21 feet.

  • @tubester4567
    @tubester4567 10 років тому +5

    The family should have called the cops. What if the guy had a gun? He coulda shot the woman, and shot the family too. There IS the possibility that the guy was not stabbing the victim at the time the family entered.....and they shot him anyway. Just because one gun story out of 1,000 seemed to turn out OK. They still cause much more violence than they save.

    I don't think it's about 'being liberal', which by most definitions I am. I think it's about doing the right thing and neutralizing the threat to that woman's life. I may be anti-death penalty, but when someone is an immediate threat to someone else, regardless of whether or not it's a family member in danger, you do what you can to save them, even if that means taking the life of the threat. That man made it clear that he meant to kill her. The only way to make sure that wasn't going to happen was by killing him. I don't like it, but it's the reality of the situation. I hate to say this, because I acknowledge that not all cops are bad, but the police were fucking useless here. People have gone to prison for threatening to kill people thousands of miles away from them on the internet, yet this guy was out on bail, with a record of violence against her to boot? W.T.F. Good on the family for doing what they had to do to save their loved one from a psychopath. I'm sure that when she saw that it was her family there to save her, people she knew and loved, it was the most incredible feeling of love and relief. I wish her and her family the absolute best. Arceneaux is a French name meaning one who had charge of the arsenal. That would be Bethany.

    Where did all the comments about the guns come from? If anything the story is consistent with other reports. The whole point of gun control is that crazy people don't get to have guns. It should be perfectly straightforward.
    What the story was actualy about is the obvious and legitimate lack of trust in the police. Why do you have to spin every story to further your agenda? Do you all work in gun factories?

      Yeah I think it is interesting that the family was able to use a tip to find him, but even more importantly that they didn't call the police to actually apprehend him. You could make the argument that it was because they were so angry and wanted the revenge, but I think maybe they weren't confident in the Police dept's ability either.

      Andy Hawkins Still, they found her, the police didn't and probably wouldn't. Even if they (the family) did intentionally kill him, the only way they could do it was to find him first. Would he actually preffer the police to find him? Would the result even be any different? I don't know. I think any reasonable person would prefer if the police handled these situations, but as it happens there is little trust in them to do it.

    • @hankyknot

      Simon Željko My comment wasn't so much about the outcome, primarily because none of us were there and didn't know the circumstances, but was about the way Cenk et all regularly rant against vigilante-ism and yet quite clearly at the end stats that even in the absence of an imminent threat they would have killed the guy. I find that very hypocritical. Truth is that in this day and age with lethal force becoming increasingly the go-to option for law enforcement, I doubt the outcome would have been any different, although ironically I suspect their Turks position would be slightly different.

    I agree, thank God it wasn't in Britain or they would be charged with murder which I tend to find ridiculous. A true story of a nurse I worked with in Scotland, her dad a 59 yr old man at the time, was broken into in the middle of the night by a thief, he stabbed the thief and the thief won damages!! Not only that the man was sentenced to two years in JAIL for attacking him. This happened in a town called troon where there is next to no crime. The community set up a petition and organised a protest, it was published in the newspapers and everyone sympathised but STILL that poor man was left in jail.
    British laws are just stupid at times as is the idea that a guy with over 25 counts of house breaking history was still around roaming our streets and being allowed free again and again. If he had 25 counts of burglary where he was caught then how many more did he actually get away with? In our deficient justice system they also allow criminals the option of being tried for all counts at once and receiving a SIGNIFICANTLY much much shorter sentence. I listened in court one day to a trial where a man had 8 seperate charges and the judge gave him 3 months or two months to run concurrently, I didnt understand at the time that with good behaviour this man actually only received 3 months jail time IN TOTAL for all of those crimes! The victims must have been mad as hell, after going through a terrible persecution on stand from this scumbags lawyer for three days. It made me sick that this criminal who had assaulted this young girl (in the middle of his crime spree) with witnesses watching, LAY across the bench as his trial lawyer laid in to this 15 yr old girl on the stand, she was a VICTIM and this creep was laughing at her while the lawyer did everything he could to make this girl look a liar, I hated the lawyer and I hated his client but yet again even when found guilty the three month sentence was never served as the judge amalgamated it with the other previous charges. I was angry just listening to it. This animal smirked and thumbed up his disgusting family who were celebrating this behind the local journalists bench and who had been verbally abusing the young girl, nothing was done to reprimand their witness intimidation other than silence and order?! The newspaper printed the judges comments which were favourable to the victim saying " she is not a malicious lying sort of a girl" but that was the only justice she got under headlines which screamed 15 yr old girl kidnapped and held at knife point and beaten for 3 hours rescud by local man. They couldn't prove kidnap because the girl had not been tied up but only threatened to go with the man wtf? He had a knife, yet this is the justice system in Scotland, good job we have a low crime rate in my area, God forbid there would be no justice. I'm glad this family got justice for their family member, that 15 year old Ayrshire girl had no family to protect her from the jeering violent family of her attacker for ovr 6 months. No witness protection and multiple calls to the police were never proven due to the victim being the only witness, law is full of loopholes and the criminals and layers know ho to jump through every single one. True story.

And a lot of ppl I’ve told don’t believe it, so that’s why I recorded him before calling the cops. I called the cops and it took them 30 mins to get to my door. Way to save me. But I had text my neighbors and instantly after seeing the video they are to this day still looking for him. I was happy they had my back, but kinda felt like men in general just want to hunt and kill serving a purpose like ending a threat like him). I have weapons in every room I’m learning self defense, mace in some rooms, and I know know more then anything to stay calm.
    When I reached for my phone I couldn’t unlock it, then couldn’t see my video button ended up taking a loud ass picture he heard, ( I’m not trying to scare him off I need him caught or you know worse) then I finally recorded and had flash on when it was not needed. Damn I was so loud too.

    Blah blah blah. This is the problem with everyone and their screwed up views of law and justice. If someone is directly threatening to take the life of another, you dont take the threat as a joke, you don't try to hurt the bad guy and you don't leave it up to and rely on someone else to handle the situation. You do everything in your power to KILL the bad guy. End of story. Man up.
    I wonder what the world would be like if great men like Alexander the Great, Muhammed Ali or Robert Munson cowered at the possibility of confrontation. If they had allowed others to fight their fights for them or avoided aggression...how do you think the world would have turned out? There will always be aggressors coming from somewhere. You can't avoid it. So start being prepared for a freak situation and when the time comes for you to kill or be killed...PULL THE DAMN TRIGGER.

      By may beliefs, (this may not line up with yours) justice needs to be served, and justice is dishing out an equal amount of harm to the person who caused it, mental, physical, or otherwise. So to me, if i saw that happening i would shoot him in both legs, crush them under my feet, and then shoot of each of his fingers so that he could never hold a knife again, after that, if she died i would shove him in a closet to bleed to death, if she lived, i would hand him over to the police and say it was an "accident"
