For reference Karlos's lifts at 93 kg body weight are, compared to the 96 kg division records, 2 kg below the snatch record (185 vs 187), 1 kg below the clean and jerk record (230 vs 231) and 1 kg below the total record (415 vs 416). I wonder if he has any plans of moving up to 96.
@@michaeloconnor8524 he may be a tad too short for 102 imo. going from 89 to 102 means he'd have to pack on 13kg of muscle, and who knows how that much more muscle could impact his explosiveness and mobility
Aw, mate. I know. I pulled a 185 the other day, not my best but my best for a few years. I walked out the gym with a swagger, dipped my shoulder at the chics on the treadmill..... Then watched this.😂😂😂
The smile on Daire's face when there's new Klokov footage. Like Christmas come early. Irish fridge meeting New Zealand Amazon. Legendary tale. Shoutouts to Makachev for showing example. Not even remotely related but be aware, Kodokan just released demonstrations on what is allowed and banned with the change of leg grabbing rules in Japan judo. It's better than imagined, there's gonna be quite a few exciting, athletic, explosive sode tsurikomi goshi + leg grab (potentially with front flip) and kata gurumas (potentially with some cartwheel like action) and te gurumas. In Japanese competitions. Hopefully IJF gets even close to similar choices in January. Because it's gonna really showcase the athleticism of judo again.
Colton's last DL attempt apparently he ripped part of his skin on one of his thumbs straight off as he was hookgripping, otherwise it looks like he would've made that lift.
Track fan here Medals can be shared if the margin is slimmer than 1 millisecond Example being women’s 100m 2008 , there was 2 silvers as they had same time But with Noah lyles it was 100th of a second which is still measurable
For the 100m in Paris, it is a well know rule in athletics that the time for an athlete is the time at which their torso crosses the finish line (hence why sprinters lean at the line). Even though they ran the same time to the hundredth of a second, they did not to the thousandth (which is what is determined by a photo finish). When looking at the photo finish, Lyles torso clearly crossed the line first, which by the already established rules of athletics means he wins
Aramnau beat Klokov at 2010 europeans to. Klokov said that he thinks that Akkaev is the most talented lifter from his generation, not only from his weight category.
I really appreciate how you guys do the headline topics first rather than last, I always try to watch the full videos though for that retention
I'd want to watch the juicy bits first 😁
I'm also physically built different. Like incorrectly.
That was my first thought watching the 185/230 as well lol, pls pls don’t you go getting popped karlos we need you 🙏
Man’s making weightlifting so interesting right now. He is approaching all time GOAT numbers

lets be real he can win 89, 96 and probably 102. he is such a consistent lifter and he really is the best lifter in the world

@@SevZG It wouldn't be 13kg of muscle and water, but also quite a lot of fat as Liu Huanhua did.
throwing my 5 plates deadlift overhead🤣

Karlos’ total is approaching my front raised at this stage

News Show let’s goooooooooooooo!!!
You guys did a video on that 2005's Klokov footage when he released it with Bloodsport soundtrack on his instagram.
Will Becoming a Horse be available to purchase on the website or is it exclusive to the app?
Woooooo
colton's deadlift was an opener, dude missed 460 twice after which is crazy. could've been #1
He tore a big chunk of skin off his thumb on the first 460kg fail. It was really hot and sweaty that day, and his grip/skin failed. Ouch!
yeah he's a lil chunk of skin from ATWR total + most dots ever
Colton failed 460 on grip. That was his second attempt, that’s why it looked so easy.
Wait, what did Daire mean - is this not literally the heaviest snatch on film for Karlos at any weight class? Same for C+J, right?
I see the video coloring is now changed, is cause of the Stanozonol? I bet it is, noice
i thought on video, his best snatch is 185kg, and he spoke on hitting 189kg snatch in training.
when have we seen karlos snatch heavier? isn’t his 185 in training the heaviest on video prior to this competition?

"He has a different skeleton from what I do". 🤣😂
Yeah, David Litti has 4 legs, 2 of which originate near the clavicle.
Gurph, its HassOnA not HassAnO.
While we're at it, it's Jesus OliVARES not OliVEIRA. Not mad, just a smol correction. (They always say it wrong)

Not weightlifting related, but given you are both Irish, give us your thoughts on the Connor McGregor trial outcome.
