Another feature, or it's actually a bonus, of the paid version is you also can get the stand alone Black Magic Fusion with the Studio code - this is superior and much faster than the Fusion in DaVinci Resolve.
the free version is enough for most work , but getting studio is going to make your workflow way faster , optimal and basically grant you sets of great functions that you would usually do in other softwares
I’ve got an issue where I was record audio directly to my computer with XLR mics but just before what I was recording finished my computer stopped recording due to storage but I had an iPhone recording as well, is there a way in DaVinci that will help mimic the iPhone audio to sound like the good XLR mics audio? For sure. If it were a subscription service my opinion would likely be different, but for a one time cost it’s an easy buy.

I’d start with Jason Yadlovski’s channel, he’s got a ton of good stuff on audio in resolve.
