I have the FD5 and was ready to sell them, was really unimpressed, but I tried spinfit cp100 (m) on the thin nozzles that was much documented , even worse ! , then I discovered that if I pulled them out my ear slightly with the spinfits then bass really improved but obviously with poor fit so I chopped of 2mm from the stem of the tips so i could get the fit back , the iem stems now sitting deeper in the tip. I really like this set. More than the IT01x. The tuning and air venting is spot on. I think the “acoustic prism” is just a fancy term for a wave guide. It probably helps makes the DLC sound less like other entry level carbon drivers, hence it sounds closer to the FD5 beryllium driver.
