    Why don't all haircuts include beer!? What a deal.

    Great video but reading between the lines it seems obvious they tried hard to show a low number (in this case under $1,000) and didn’t include realistic how people really live- like something comes up, or you see a cool thing, or you buy an extra sandwich, etc

    I have to say that you went to the most expensive places, for example exito is a expensive supermarket compared to Ara, for the price you paid for that apartment, you can get a better one in really good neightbohoods like manga or bocagrande, so you can get cheaper.

      Yes, I agree. I gotta say that I learned a lot after this trip. If I’d ever go back, I’d choose a different neighborhood (probably Manga)! Now I know! Haha

    Great Video! I've been a nomad for +8 years and now visiting Cartagena. Trying to find a flat - any suggestions on how to find an affordable flat in Getsemaní or central?

    • @diegoarelano
      @diegoarelano  2 роки тому

      I tried on Airbnb and it was pretty easy. But honestly, if you plan to stay a little longer as a nomad, I would avoid Getsamani or the walled city. I think Manga would be a better option

    Thank you for sharing this information. I’m inspired to go there. But how is the internet connection?

    • @diegoarelano

      I didn’t find any problem working and having online meetings. There are a few coworking spaces that could be an option and they have high-speed internet for sure

    I just left Cartagena a few days ago. Seriously considering moving there for the winter months and edit paid projects remotely

    Sadly covid pricing is gone. I'm finding in many countries that prices are doubling from the Covid lows. Prices have doubled in the last few months in places I've looking at.

      Oh no! I hope this budget is still not far from actual prices! In any case, if you find something different, please leave the new prices here in the comments so people can get updated!

    Barú IS an island! You can only get there by crossing a bridge, or by boat.

      I find every now and then some free lance jobs (with videos) for companies in other countries. But for whoever is watching my videos, I convert the expenses and talk in dollars, to make it easier to calculate and plan the budget. ;)
