Hi! Just a little disclaimer about this video. You may have seen it before on Climbers Crag channel a year or two ago but it was taken down. So I thought I would re-edit it to include lots of new bits that have never been seen before and upload it to my channel so it can still have a place on the internet :). As you can see in the video we don’t break the full dyno World Record which is still held by Skyler Weekes but Toby did manage to break the Step Up World record! This is unofficially as we have not had it confirmed by Guinness World Records (it costs a lot haha 😅). I hope you enjoyed the video and don’t forget to enter the giveaway!
BTW, what in the heck happened to the Climbers Crag channel? I unsubscribed and blocked it quite a while ago, when they deleted a lot of content and changed completely and for the worse - it's been months so sorry if all of this is out of date
Toby is one of my favorite humans. He smiles no matter what he is facing. Also, he always seems to get “up and over” obstacles that others just can’t quite conquer.
Certainly not one of my favourite humans (I have family and friends) but the combination of explosive climber and parkour athlete makes him a favourite sportsman.
@@TonyFisherPuzzles I appreciate the clarification. I agree…if I truly thought about it…I could probably find a few others in my life that would trump Toby 😂

Been following Toby and storror for many years now, himself (as well pewdiepie actually) recently getting on the climbing fix has got me into watching climbing more as well.

Does the record require a specific angle beyond the distance itself? I guess straight up would be more difficult than to the side. Also, the amount of overhang may be interesting.
Yea, the conditions seem almost arbitrary. Are the start holds and their positions standardized? From where are they measuring? Angle of the finishing hold etc... Cant really compare these records I would say.
@@thunderball11111 The fact that he broke it by 11cm makes it all the more suspicious that the difference in conditions contributed to the large difference.
I am convinced that there is nothing that could stop toby if you gave him a bigger gap he would have figured out how to be the first person to double jump irl or grown wings
@sorazascarlan This video was sick. I love watching storror collabs. I've been climbing for about 7 months now. I'm just now starting to become less rough on my shoes a new pair would be awesome.
Not seeking to take anything away from the chaps, especially the legendary cigar man, but I imagine that it's a little easier pushing slightly *out* from the wall, 8nstead of 100% within the 2d plane of the wall. Making sense? The fact that the target is positioned maybe 15deg out from the wall compared with the launch point, to me, makes it a little easier to hit.
@danndophotography absolutely smashed it! Can't believe the strength you would need for these. I've just gotten into climbing a few months ago and I'm loving it so much. I caught one of your videos that got me interested in it! Thank you so much for the inspiration
@james.houry , I've been watching Storror since I was really young, and more recently kept up with all of Toby's climbing-related content. I started climbing about 3 - 4 months ago and haven't been able to afford a pair of shoes. But ditching the rentals is far overdue!!!
Injured a left knee MCL on a high dyno falling just like bro did. You have to force your brain to just accept the face plant when you inevitably miss. At my age though I have to pick and choose my battles so no more runout lateral jumps like that. ;)
Two months ago I wrecked my knee trying a very similar, though not as far, move (see 5:40). Got the hold, but didn't stick it. The rotation as I landed and sunk into the mat basically bent my leg in a direction it shouldn't go, with an audible pop as it happened. Sooooo much pain. Don't try this if you are not uber flexible or if you're tired.
Wolverine is just unstoppable at the moment, he might not be in in prime but he's definitely at his peak. Definitely the most well rounded parkour athlete at the moment, he's got everything in his arsenal. Well done Swag! Waiting for a Wolverine vs Deadpool chase on storror, Toby playng Wolverine and Callum has enough wit to do Deadpool. Plus you've already done a movie with Ryan Reynolds, so i think he'll like the spoof. PS: Josh could have gotten it if he had some parkour in him and knew how to take falls, that was the part that was blocking him.
To be fair, a dyno world record would have to take into account an agreed upon starting hold configuration and hold shape for feet, launch step, and finish jug to really determine properly.
Would love to see something like a Storror x Wideboyz PK+Dyno/speed climb comp. I know Toby already does a lot of climbing crossover videos, but I'd love to see an actual formal competition for something like that.
Josh it looked like you were on to something with that technique where you keep your right leg pulled in on that first part so it can can push you up with its entire extension on the actual jump
