37D IS A GOOD MACHINE IF YOUR DOING PRODUCTION THE THE OLD SPLITTER YOUR USING IS SLOWER THEN THE 37D, FOR THE RESPLITS OF WOOD THE OLD MACHINE PRODUCES BETTER WOOD WITH OUT ANY TRASH,
I'm guessing that oak is too stringy for the box wedge? But yea, probably not designed for resplitting as much as kicking ass one time through or through a box wedge.
Live oak is twisted wood we waste a lot when we use the box wedge especially on limb wood. I think the bigger spar pieces probably were straight enough for the box wedge though. I think we're gonna try the 5 way box wedge on oak pretty soon.
I'm getting an 8 way for easier splitting wood but the live oak down here is too twisted for those wedges. It's completely different than the oak up north, it's hard splitting to say the least.
Great machine for you
Looking good fellas.
Thank you sir appreciate you watching!
Sounds like a box wedge would solve ya problem . I did a video with my buddy’s 37d with the box wedge and it’s just a fast wood producing machine .
Live oak is twisted up wood it doesn't like the box wedge very much although some of that wood was really straight.
I would think that that tall 4 way would be perfect for that twisted gnarly oak. I would just run those 2 top pieces through again
I really like that tall 4 way! Thanks for watching!

That is correct the county line splitters are slower but they don't waste as much wood. Thanks for watching!
Them multi wedges are fast but boy do you get a lot of scrap “waste wood”
Yeah especially on twisted grain wood.

I’ve got the extended catch pan on my 12 22 . It sure helps out sorting the wood for faster resplits
@@rogercharlebois4227 I would definitely like to have the extended pan
A 8 or 12 way wedge with most of that would save most of the resplitting. The big horizontal splitters are one push wonders. That is where they shine.
