Today I'm taking a look at the new Bugha LED 60% Gaming Keyboard from Five Below. This is one of the cheapest 60% keyboards I have ever seen coming in at only $10. It might only be a membrane keyboard, but it packs in a lot of features like a detachable cable and adjustable backlights. Of course, it's not true RGB. The backlight color is fixed, though you could change it if you wanted to try your hand at soldering.

Just a quick update, I went out and picked one up today. I’m very impressed for $10 and this is coming from a black widow.
It's honestly one of the best 60% membrane keyboards I've used too. The Rogue keyboard I showed in the video has a similar static backlight and a permanently attached cable, yet it's twice the price. $20 is approaching mechanical keyboard territory these days.

Yessssss, I’ve had that keyboard for over 2 weeks and this review is finally out! I couldn’t find a review anywhere.
I was hoping to have it up sooner, but sadly it looks like this keyboard is only in physical stores in a few regions. The one I ordered from Five Below's site was hit with shipping delays too. 😅
As soon as it heard it came out I saw a bunch of 60 percent keyboards at my local 5 below

Still haven't found any at my locals. I'm going to check again today though since I'm also looking for the dual mode (aux + Bluetooth) headset with removable boom mic that they have on their site. It's not sold as a gaming headset, but it definitely is meant to be one with those features.

The real fun is that not every keyboard this size uses the toggle system, or even puts them in the same place. Every new review is a learning experience. lol
Bought one to try it out, never had a 60 percent keyboard before. Love it, and perfect for the price. There's also s gold edition of this keyboard
Yep. I ordered the gold edition of the mouse and keyboard the moment the store would let me. I'm hoping to have reviews of those someone next week or so. I'm expecting the keyboard to just be a palette swap, but the mouse is shaping up to be completely different.
I bought one and found out I'm not a 60% keyboard superfan, but that's okay, it's still a nice keyboard, and it has my favorite switches.
I prefer 65% or TKL to be honest. I can give up most of the keys on a keyboard, but I use the arrow keys way more than I thought I did.

It happens. I lost a ton of viewers when I stopped talking about fidget toys, but at the same time I successfully managed to jump ship right before the bubble burst. My brand wasn't forever tied to them. lol

It's definitely a good keyboard for the price. You won't find a 60% keyboard (membrane or mechanical) for $10 without buying in bulk for the most part.
@@ClyFaker there’s another brand I found in five below called “unlocked level” and “titan” most items cost only $5.55 and are gaming pc things, they seem interesting, I feel like you should check them out

Great video, did you mention if this keyboard has Granny 6080 key switches?
It's possible for you to make the key caps pudding, I ended up sanding the sides down to strip the color and it looks well, honestly can't tell if it seams bringer though.
Ooh, I like the pudding cap mod idea. I might have to try that at some point.

That's my secret. Oil Kings are factory lubed, so I soak them in isopropyl alcohol before installation to remove it. 🤣

I got redragon k617 when on sales under $20, modified with different swtich and add some pe foam turn out it's pretty good for budget custom keyboard

Crazy idea. Membrane-chanical keyboards. A membrane keyboard with some sort of device that makes an annoyingly loud clicking noise when the key is depressed. Kind of like the dice bubble on the old Sorry games. 🤣

Also, Chrysler totally needs to license out the Hemi branding for some limited edition hemispherical switches. I would definitely buy those just to say my keyboard has a Hemi.

Nope, just chimney swift switches. I'm surprised too, since those were discontinued years ago. The manufacturer either found a stash of them in an old cargo container or their ripping them out of e-waste. 😆

Box Jades are one of the few clicky switches I can tolerate using. They have a less harsh sound than Cherry or Outemu blues in my experience.
great video as always! I'm a big 100% keyboard layout fan (working from home I would not be able to use a 60% keyboard for daily tasks), but just for gaming, this could be a valid 2nd keyboard to pull out when needed. I would really love to go wireless, but I have noticed that all battery powered wireless rgb keyboards don't last more than 3 days on a full charge. which is very disappointing! and all AA battery wireless keyboards are not backlit. big dilemma here. anyways, have a nice weekend!

I have this keyboard but it completely stopped registering keystrokes. It still powers on and changes modes. Anyone have any idea of a fix?

I wanted to buy one of these just for fun even tho i already have a $150 corsair keyboard. I checked five below last week and it wasn't in stock. They did have the full size one and one-handed one in stock but not this %60 one.
You might want to ask the manager at your local store if they'll even get them in stock. Apparently whether or not something pops up in a store is up to that store's management and not the head office. I'm wondering if some managers are a bit gunshy after the one-handed keyboard underperformed.

Does it have Alps key switches or buckling spring.
I still have the stuff to make both microUSB and even miniUSB coiled aviator cables. Many of my keyboards used to have miniUSB cables before I modded them to be USB-C.

All jokes aside, Alps was one of the few manufacturers that made clicky switches I can tolerate. I wonder if the newer clones from Matias sound any good. 🤔

They have some $20+25 items like the record player, and that's the price range I'm expecting for the mechanical keyboards. According to their corporate customer service rep I emailed a while back their inventory purchasers are hoping to have some in or around 2023.

Nah, they're Redragon Bullet S. Same 35g featherweight rating, but a bit flashier. 🤣
My friend has been trying to find a cheap 60% keyboard, and this is the perfect keyboard for him but he wants to know how it sounds like but I couldn’t find any video of the sound of this keyboard. Would u made to make a sound test vid of this keyboard ?

I haven't done any major durability testing, but I don't have any issues with it so far. It's a decent little keyboard for $10.

There’s a lot off 60%keyboards I have that are way expensive but I’m not gonna lie I would actually buy and use this not to mention membrane keyboards are really quite which I like for night gaming
Membrane keyboards are great for streaming and recording gaming videos too. I'm not a fan of hearing someone's keyboard in their audio. lol
I do have a proper mechanical keyboard review coming up featuring one even quieter than this though.

Cly I have a question.
Does it sounds like a mechanical keyboard or does it have a mechanical feel to it.
I'd say it's somewhere in the middle. It's a bit quieter than a standard linear mechanical switch (and definitely quieter than clicky switches), but not as quiet as some specialty switches I've used. As for the feel, it's not as smooth as a mechanical, but also not as stiff to move out squishy to bottom out as some other membrane keyboards.
Also, if you really want mechanical sounds check out MechaKeys and/or Mechvibes. They simulate the sound while you type.

For those symbols it's the same way you normally would. Hold shift and hit 2 for @ or - for _. If that's not working you might have a faulty board.

Nothing wrong with picking this one up as well if you can afford it. I personally rotate through multiple keyboards depending on what I'm doing, and I have a 60% at the ready for when I want to recline. My full sized board is not comfortable for that.

My 9 yr old daughter decided she wanted to start gaming(Roblox) but don't want to buy her very expensive set up since she constantly changes her mind she will be using her HP stream laptop. Will this be able to connect to that.
As long as there's a USB port on the computer it'll work. It's plug and play, no special drivers needed.

Yeah, the profile definitely took a bit of getting used to for me, but now it's my go to. Well, I actually prefer 65% keyboards since they still have dedicated arrow keys, but I doubt that one is popular enough to pop up in Five Below. 😅

Don't be surprised if they don't have it though, since it's apparently rolling out slowly. I had to order mine from their website, but multiple members of my Discord server found it in their stores the day it came out. I'm actually heading down to my local later to see if they finally have it.

That's after a restock too. I've watched the number available on their site go up and down whenever I check to see if there's anything new.

As far as I can tell they're the same size. Heck, even the stems look identical, and that's rare with membrane keyboards.

Yeah, I mentioned that a couple times in the video. I'm glad to see they moved back to lasered keys for the 60% though.

It just uses generic keyboard drivers, so as long as the PS5 accepts USB keyboards as input devices you're set.

⚠️❗❗🆘Can you help me, please? I am new. My problem is that I cannot type the letters N or M ! Probably due to being connected to Del and End? 🧐 All others keys type normally but but these two do not. I am not gaming. I just want to type, write. 🤷🏼♀️
I could not find any videos explaining more about the keys, for us newbies.
If N and M are not working even when holding down the FN key, there's a chance that those keys are bad on the keyboard's circuit. The only advice I can give is to try out a different USB cable just in case, and if that doesn't work your only real option is to return it. Fortunately Five Below has a really generous return policy, even if you don't have the receipt.

It's construction definitely looks to be inspired by the Alexis Typewriter.

Reading about that switch design makes me glad I'm a PC user. I've never been a big fan of the scissor switches used in laptops, but somehow Apple found a way to make it worse.
