I enjoyed watching him all season. When he find a lane his size and explosive is impressive. I was frustrated with him in the first half but he made some big shots in the second!
Agreed, Jalen really modified his game to fit the needs of this team. He did a lot of dirty work on the boards that helped this team become really good.

After seeing so many people talk about North Carolina and saying they'll beat us it was so rewarding watching us make that come back. The 14-year wait for this historic game; was worth it. Rock Chalk Jayhawk.

What a tale of 2 halves!! Self commented to a on court reporter that the first half was "the worst' KU has played all year!" Great!! Here we go again - another talented KU team that should win the BIG dance choking under the pressure (right? the KU fan's nightmare). And the half time commentators (on ESPNXTRA satellite radio - including UCLA legend Bill Walton) totally trashing KU's poor performance - "they got an ass whoppin" along with Walton slamming the KU fans chant "Rock Chalk Jayhawk whatever THAT means!" I'm sorry I didn't get to hear em EAT their words after the game! Clearly the Players were way too amped up in the first half (played out of control with turn overs and bad shots, Remi's banked in 3 point gift ) - BUT all credit goes to the Team and Coaches that settled it down, regrouped and played some 'kick ass ball' in the 2nd half! We definitely EARNED THIS CHAMPIONSHIP! The GREATEST NCAA Championship come back in HISTORY!!! So MANY times KU has played from behind struggling just to get the score even and falling short (2012 Championship game against UK comes to mind). So this ONE is REALLY SPECIAL - AND when you consider we were THE top pick to win it ALL in 2020 with a loaded team - this one is also for all those guys. LOVE being a JAYHAWK and LOVE the effort/athleticism this team put showed ALL season and especially LOVE the TROPHY permanent home in Allen Fieldhouse! BIG THANKS to ALL the Player and Coaches.... GO KU!
